The illustrations are bright, cute, and not at all cheesy, which makes them appealing for preschoolers and Kindys. You’ll need a good pair of fine-tip scissors to cut the pieces from the main felt sheet, but they do separate cleanly with a small snip top and bottom of each piece. The only real downside is the size — both the board and figures are a bit small for large-group use, though perfect for small groups or one-on-one. Each story comes with its own set of numbers 1–5 (20 circles total), which feels unnecessary since one set could easily be reused for all stories. I’d rather have fewer numbers and larger figures.
