Nashbar AT1 29er Mountain Bike - 19 INCH

Love this bike! A little heavy, but very sturdy. It feels great to ride, comparing it to my buddy's department store bike at about the same price, this thing beats it in every aspect, it may not have disk brakes but it stops just fine; great actually. The cassette and derailleur work great. I have done a few upgrades though, I replaced the shifters with some trigger shifters which in my opinion are a heck of a lot better, the seat with a more comfortable mountain biking seat, and I like it alot better, the stock seat is pretty bad. All around great bike, would recommend. Lots of fun to take around the cross country trails.

Dad totally digs the bike. I ride a pretty mid-level Cannondale and have been around mid-level to top-tier bikes for years. This one is of good quality for the price. Don't wast your money on some Wal-Mart bike. He had one of those and it never really rode right. Wasn't a realistic bike. This one, however, can take a beating and my dad was totally stoked to get it. Easily the best bang for your buck bike on the market. Hands down. If my Canny fails me, I would probably pick up one of these as I don't get crazy any longer.

I like this bike. I really do, especially for the price...but, beware, it is very heavy. In fact, I've turned it over to my son and gone to a Specialized hardrock 29er that's more to my liking.

We had some trouble with the seat. Had to take it to a bike shop and have the bolts replaced.

No instructions and online videos not clear. Ok bike for cost. Unless you have assembled bikes in the past... Plan to have assembled by a professional.

I love this bike! It feels very big to someone that has always had 26'' bikes but it's a smooth, fast ride that I really enjoy.

Lost 3 hours of my life trying to assemble. I build race cars for a living and this thing came in more pieces then one of my cars. Boxed it back up and will be shipping it back. Not worth the hassle, just buy local.

I wanted a bike to take camping and do some basic trail riding. I am an avid road bike rider, but plan to take it easy on the trails. I looked for a long time for a used bike on craigslist, and finally decided I would chance a new bike. This was mentioned on many best bikes under $300 reviews.It is heavy...surprisingly so. But the components are good, the finish is good, the seat is good, and my confidence in the bike is high.My only two noted concerns are it is a bit difficult to assemble with poor instructions, and the crank bearings seem to be pretty small compared with my road bikes.For the money the bike ranks a five, for a bike in general because of the weight I have to drop it to a four.
