Sci-Fi Fashion Art School: How to Draw Science Fiction Characters, Styles and Action Scenes Paperback – December 19, 2016

I have all of Irene Flore's Fashion Art School books and I was so excited to add this to my collection. I'm not the biggest fan of Sci-Fi but flipping through this has given me inspiration for a lot of things. The art is beautiful and there are lots of great ideas in this! Can't wait for the next one!

I've bought art books from this series before and I was super excited to see they had a new one out! The variety of topics and examples are always excellent. I love how the artists include a huge diversity in the characters they use throughout the book.

This book is a very well done "how to draw book" it takes the reader through the simple steps of drawing Sci Fi characters, with a direction towards creating your own characters. I have purchased books that did not deliver instructions as well as this book does. Well Done

An intensive follow-up in the Art School series! Though this one focuses on themes of the futuristic and interstellar. It gives the rundown on how to handle the genres of dystopian, space crews, space operas, and space westerns. I read and saw homages to The Hunger Games, Blade Runner, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Firefly. It totally makes me want to revisit those movies, and perhaps try drawing out some of those layouts shown in this volume.

Came in great condition and now added with my other collection.

Wish there was more books on the subject

A bargain at under $7 when I had just bought this for $25 at a major retail store hours before ordering online - returned the retail version of course!Great book for general ideas and common sci-fi tropes and genres. There’s just enough here to keep your imagination active, but not enough to rewrite it!

Love this whole series; a good buy even if you just wanted a character artbook.As fun as always to try & catch the cameos as well.

Brilliant book for inspiration!! I have a series I'm working on and this book helps so much with ideas for the environment! Goes in depth about the culture of these different world's but leaves it open enough for you to have your own take!The art work is gorgeous as usual, and is nice to flip through even when I don't feel like drawing.(Also nice addition about the inpracticalities of breastplates on female armour, something that's always bothered me in designs)

This book has helped me a lot when designing clothes for my own characters.While they do have an emphasis on sci-fi (space travellers, apocalypse survivors etc.), most of the information in this book can be applied to multiple style as it teaches you how to draw clothing folds, how to imply certain textures (cotton, leather, gold), how to come up with new designs and so forth. There's even an extra few extra things thrown in like how to draw a dynamic scene.Though if you do get this book, I would highly recommend getting the physical book. This was clearly designed for print, the pages in the ebook version look a bit awkward.

Very broad coverage of science fiction characters and settings. Definitely a lot more than I expected.
