Inside the bed connector
My truck has the “below bed” puck system for the 5th wheel. I installed this so the cable does not have to hang over the tailgate and plug into the bumper plug. Easy install, there is a pass through connector on one end so you unplug the original connector and plug this one in between. Couldn”t be easier. A quick google search returned videos of where others placed theirs into the bed side.

Works but not OEM quality
This item is OK for the price and I knew that going in. This is not the quality of an OEM part and would not have the same service life.

Key element to keep trailer batteries when not is use
I have a mobile garage, AKA enclosed trailer that I keep a car in. The tailer is wired for low voltage lights and winch. Challenge how do you keep the trailer batters charged up (ebrake, winch) and the car stored in the trailer when not in use? Use a battery maintainer to float all three. this is the first component, plug your trailer 7 mail plug to this, use the two pin adapter on your battery maintainer for power and ground, that allows you to connect the maintainer, and poof, batteries are always topped off

Not made with USA wiring code standards.
Well here you have the mate to the Chinese junk male plug I just bought. They are wired to somewhere else's standard sadly. In the USA the wiring is completely different. I posted up 2 pictures to show what goes where in this female trailer receptical. The product itself, is decent. Made in Taiwan, so a step up from China. The cord grommet is super tight, so plan on cutting your plug wires to proper length, with the sheathing only getting about a half inch in, and that's with pulling on the wires to get there. 2 screws hold the actual connector in place, and there is the standard bottom slot to align it up. I matched this to the plug, I bought as well, and their color codes match, but not to the US Rv/trailer standard here. Use the pictures I posted to alleviate any issues, but do one better, and check your wiring first with a basic 12v lighted tester. It will save you time, and some of your sanity. Hope this helps you out.
