I will be honest... I bought this book based on the title and cover. I didn't read the synopsis at all. I thought for sure I was getting some sort of mystery or thriller. This book is definitely neither of those. Good thing I am a sucker for a second chance romance!I was hooked on this story from the first sentence. That opening scene though... I fell for these characters from the get go. I wanted the man to get his woman so bad I could taste it. These two characters have carried a love for one another for so many years, it was only right that they finally get things right.This book is told in dual point of views, past and present. I can't see this book being told any other way. It works for these characters and the story they have to tell. And what a story it was. I devoured this book. Because of Parker James breaking her heart . She was never going home again . Liv is getting ready for her shift at a gentlemen’s club in Atlanta.Liv , you have clients waiting on you . What is it birthday or bachelor party . It is a bachelor party .Liv puts on her mask , lingerie, and her spiked heels . It’s almost show time and the music is her green light to get ready to dance for the bachelor and his groomsman. She sees the guys and recognizes one of the men It is Parker James , the guy who broke her heart , Liv starts her lap dance and Parker touches her spine . She is used to it and says , no touching or I will have to stop . Take it off he says , in a husky low voice . Liv starts to grab the lace fabric with her trembling hand and reaches behind to unclasp her bra . Liv says , she can do this . Parker says no .Stacie helps Liv step out of her comfort Zone .Which fires up Parker but it is none of his business . He has Emily and Liv is free to date but that is not going over well with Parker .The book bounces from present to past to help the reader understand Liv and Peter’s history together .There is a tattoo convention and drama starts and a low burning fire between them starts to build because of a kiss .Liv is not playing games it is time to move on .Will Parker marry Emily and stay safe or will he go after Liv where he knows that spark between them is still just as strong as it was the day she left for GeorgiaHidden secrets are uncovered. The book has drama , heart break , love and joy . The big one is redemption. Their relationship was shattered like a broken whiskey 🥃 glass and it is put back together with love ❤️ and forgiveness.A beautiful love story .I give the book 📖⭐️five stars even though writing a review with the past and present was a little challenging .No spoilers ..Book 1 out of three books . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These two will make you crazy! *by T***D on Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2018* I've read this book 3times now. I just got the other 2 books in the series and wanted to refresh my memory. I loved Parker and Livy's story, although I wanted to smack Parker a time or three. He was convinced "safe"was the route he needed to take this time around. Especially since chaos had broken his heart. Well, it wasn't really chaos that did it but a vindictive ex. Our MCs meet again in the first chapter so there's no waiting for them to interact (and what a way to run into the one who got away!). It's the push/pull that they put themselves and each other thru that has you wanting to ring Parker's neck. He's a really good guy that doesn't want to hurt anyone, but he doesn't want to hurt either. Luckily, it all works out in the end, because Parker and Livy are hot together. All thru the book you know they are meant to be. Great writing allows you to feel for the characters and go thru the journey with them. I'm sure I'll probably read this for a fourth or fifth time down the road!
