I bought another scraper with a thicker blade and it was slow work of knocking down the texture on our walls… this one took it off like it was butter. We had this crazy globbed on skip trowel texture on the walls in our house so before we painted I wanted to knock all the excessive texture off because it was so heavily applied it looked like it was running down the walls. After a few hours with this tool and a lot of mess to clean up our walls no longer look like they were done by a kindergartener. It didn’t take all the texture off, though I could have if that had been my goal. I also found that you can screw a threaded mop pole to the end of this scraper and get up in high places! Super handy.

Used this for scraping paint off old brick house with and without paint stripper. They scrape without warping blades and don’t dig into soft brick in corner of blade like others do. Used all different kinds of tools (over $150 worth) to strip paint and none came close to this. The screws do strip easily so be careful and buy extras for a buck so you don't get left hanging.
