Much faster than my BT home hub.
Absolute bargain, really easy to set up and a large upgrade in WiFi speed & range over my standard BT router. Won't compete with top end routers but for the price you can't go wrong

A cheap and simple solution to a Virgin-Hub problem.
I recently changed to Virgin Active for a variety of reasons. Happy with the speed, but their "Hub5" did not afford coverage in our house and their was too much Jitter causing some packet loss. This is something that the BT Router had well under control - now with Virgin so I had best sort it...PROS:Coverage/Range - the complete house, a 2 up and one down with garden and garage, is fully covered by the WiFi now. No patches of no coverage - even deep in the loft you will get a good signal from the Router.Ease of use - Whilst I did not need any instructions, I connected the router and the Virgin Hub did what it needed, act as a modem. Connect to the modem, plug the router in and switch on. 3 minutes later full connectivity.CONS:Build Quality - it feels cheap and tacky but not flimsy. I did not buy it to look at it because it is ugly and looks like a transformer flattened by a Lorry.Instructions - if you are a technophobe then the instructions that come with this device will give you a migraine. All in all the device loses 1 star for abysmal documentation - otherwise it is a cheap and effective router for the ever-lasting Virgin Hub issues.

Works well -- Strong WiFi -- Easy set up
This MR80X is easy to set up. Fine tuning was also easy and quick. I bought mine in a Amazon sale for £45. Mercusys is a TP-Link brand aimed at the lower price market, the performance and specs are the same as TP-Link routers. The unit itself is small and runs quite hot if placed on a solid base, I have now placed mine on top of an alloy heat sink with the back of the router over a PC fan which keeps it nice and cool. This router has improved the WiFi signals, with the 5Ghz easily going through 2 brick walls to the TV. You may find that your devices cannot run at the high speeds that this router sends out over WiFi, because they are built to the old 802.11b/g/n standard. If you use a WiFi app from the Playstore, you can see what channel your neighbours are using, and then in the advanced settings section of this router, you can change to a clear channel. All routers are best placed as high as you can get it in the room, It is a pity the makers of all brands of routers only have a one metre length of cable on the power supply.

Enhance Your Signal
Finally got a new WiFi router for my home in hopes of improving the my speed and I’mprove my signal throughout the house as virgin media hasn’t improved even when using the new improved routers from them. After doing some research and deciding on alterantives on google, I decided on the MR80X Router WiFi 6 and I will admit, I am so happy with my decision and pruchase. The MR80X router has greatly improved the WiFi signal strength not only from downstairs, also upstairs and the back garden which is quite big. and still get excellent speeds in my house. Fortunately I am no longer dealing with dead zones, one way streets or sluggish speeds. in certain zones of my home. The setup has been a breeze and smooth sailing, even for my myself it was a joy to work.
