I would give this a better review the one for one issue
I would give this a better review of it were not for one issue and that is the sheet rock anchors that are supplied with this that requires you to drill a hole in the sheetrock and then tap in the sheet rock anchors with a hammer for this gives the foundation for which to put the screws in so that the screws have a stable platform to hold the foundation in place and that is normal for that is how all sheet rock anchors work but what upsets me is that the sheet rock anchors come in numerous sizes and depending on the size of the sheet rock anchor depends on the size of drill bit needed to first put the hole in the sheetrock before installing the sheet rock anchor and whenever you purchase sheet rock anchors at your local hardware store like Home Depot on each package it will tell you the size of drill bit needed in order to create a hole to put the sheet rock anchors in but this does not come with any instructions on which size of drill bit to use ? and that is crucial in making the proper size hole so I had to go to Home Depot and compare the sheet rock anchors with other ones of the same size so I could read the size of the proper drill bit to use and this is a hassle but a necessity to install it correctly so this company needs to provide that basic information on what size of sheet rock anchor Drill Bit That is required for the size of sheet rock anchors that are included with this

Design Compromises and Choices Limit Versatility/Value
I purchased a set of two in both the black and white color. They work well for temporary placement on top of a flat horizontal surface such as a table, ledge or mantle. In most cases, however, just placing the camera itself on the flat surface works just fine and is less noticeable. The very large, humongous base is way too large, and not necessary, for use on ceilings, especially ceiling corners and close to the wall. The design compromise - make one with a large base that works for both table tops and ceilings - defeats a prime factor in use of security cameras in many situations. If one desires to conceal or minimize a camera, the large base makes that more difficult. The color and finish also reduces the ability to conceal the camera. The black color is chosen, along with a black "skin", so the camera blends into any dark color background, but the shiny finish, and the silver ball head and silver base trim, coupled with the large base, make these mounts pretty noticeable. The same applies to a lesser extent to the shiny white bases with silver ball and trim. The choice of a matte finish, with matching color for the ball and trim, would have eliminated these issues.

Great mount, seems weatherproof so far but magnetism is not as strong as the standard Arlo mount.
Good alternative to save a buck, however people should know the cameras do not hold as well as they do on the actual Arlo version of this mount. I've used this mount for about a year now. I have the camera outside in a position that I prefer to try to keep aimed the same when changing the battery but it's much harder to keep the aim with this one. I can actually switch the battery on the Arlo version of this mount which I have on another camera without moving the camera at all. It's impossible with this one probably due to less magnetic material thus less holding power, it moves at the slightest touch. It holds ok once the battery is in but it's notably weaker. Had I known I would have reluctantly forked out the extra dough for the genuine mount, for now I'm keeping these though.

Works as advertized!
I used this to hang an Arlo camera on the ceiling of my front porch. The only issue I had was that the wood was too 'tough' and one of the screws broke. Thankfully, they sent additional screws. I also then pre-drill a small hole for the second screw and it went in without issue. Works perfectly!

More plastic than metal...
...and what metal there is, seems to show signs of corrosion (rust?) pretty soon after outdoor installation. Having said that, these are far better than the magnetic mounts that come with the Arlo Pro cameras in they allow a far greater range of positioning the camera where the Arlo mounts are seriously limited at the extreme angles. I have had no failures as reported by others, in fact, my Arlo Pro cameras mounted on these mounts held on through two hurricanes (Matthew and Irma) and continued to capture the weather while we hunkered in our safe room during 100+ MPH winds.

Taller and Stable Base for Sitting on Shelf
The ones that came with my Arlo Pro 2 set were just way too flat and short! Also, the originals can't be used to just sit a camera on a shelf. So I needed a quick solution.Found these Wasserstein ones fairly quickly and took a chance by ordering the 2-pack. As soon as they arrived, they were out the box and being used! They have a nice wide base to keep a camera on a shelf upright and stable. The magnet (to me) feels a bit weaker than the originals, but they still do a great job of keeping the cameras in place. Within a couple days, I ended up ordering another 2-pack since I really do like them better than the originals!

AMAZING!!
AMAZING!! These are actually nicer than the ones that came with the arlo!! We ordered these because we couldnt get the angle that we needed with our arlo cameras. These stick out just far enough the we can put the camera at almost any angle! I didnt like that the ones that came with the cameras were flush to the wall because we could turn the camera far enough without it falling off the wall (which did happen and the camera fell 11 feet onto the tile). These magnets are surprisingly very strong and the wall mount uses two screws so the base will not spin on the wall! They are awesome. I highly recommend!

A good camera mount for Arlo
Product is as advertised. Plastic is adequate for intended use, but is a little on the thin side. Rough texture on the metal ball prevents the camera from shifting if exposed to wind or vibrations. Works great for my use which is setting camera on top of a bookshelf. Seems like it would also work well if mounted to wall or ceiling with included mounting plate.

Decent product.
Ordered these a couple of days ago, my initial thoughts where that the base was far to wide however it did fit where I wanted it to go. The magnet within the silver ball seems strong enough to hold the Arlo camera but I guess time will tell through strong winds or a bird standing on the camera itself. It would have been great if there was screws or double sided tape with the actual product. Overall it has done the job and the build quality seems good. In 6 months I will purchase another set of it stands the test however I'm stand it will. Would recommend it to a friend.
