Of the people who felt that these votives burned too quickly, did you use a holder?

I wouldn't necessarily say they burned too quickly, but I think calling them a 15 hour candle is misleading. I use a glass votive holder that completely contains the fresh candle, and I get a solid 10 hours out of them. This is in a room with fans going most of the time, and I suspect that causes them to burn a bit faster, due to more oxygen getting circulated into the area of the wick.

does anyone else think they smell strong - like an essential oil was added? they're not like other beeswax I have enjoyed. tnx
