The price was as good as one might find - the rare retailers of sewing supplies (mostly disappeared during the last half-decade) can't match the price I paid for this item. I am glad it is non-staining. I over-did it and got a drip on my work from overhead gears. I replaced the screw cap and keep the needle applicator separate (together in a little leak-proof container). That should avoid the leakage some might experience - I think it makes sense to lock down the bottle and maintain a lower profile with your separate applicator handy when you need to use it. The little red applicator cap is just a little red cap while you use it; I wouldn't count on it to stay put during storage.
