The doors have a thickness similar to a jigsaw puzzle so it's the new family tradition. Perfect for celebrating a festive but less consumerist advent since it's just tree decorating rather than daily presents of candies or toys. Base image is wonderful with a cozy Japanese feel and includes Pocket Monsters from all 8 main regions at release. Ornaments feature two images (front/back) of one species each. Not only does it include a Christmas Day door but also an unmarked door containing the real ornament so you can choose to open it whatever day you put up your real tree!

The media could not be loaded.  The quality is amazing honestly, it's beautiful!! I've had other pokemon calendars in the past with little plastic figures, but this is much better! And it can be used year after year unlike other advent calendars, as opening the doors for the ornaments doesnt damage the book at all.
