Its the best cotton mix wool I have ever knitted with
I have been knitting from a my teenage years and am now in my late 50โs, I make a lot of baby shawls in cotton yarn as this is the best and most breathable for a new born and I have knitted with most brands over the years and recently the brand I used to use closed up shop, but I ordered this a few days ago to try and it is so lovely to knit with, soft and looks amazing, the blue is true to its colour and canโt seem to put my knitting down, I have also ordered the pink because it is such good value and is all recycled, I like the fact it has some polyester in it as it makes it less harsh and puts a bit of elasticity in it, but the best thing is it is fantastic value for money. The only caution is be careful when casting on as it can split like all cotton yarn can but if you take your time its fine

Lovely to knit with, and great value for money
I have just started my project: a gansey for myself, and this yarn is really lovely to work with. It is durable and solid (it will not break when casting on), and super soft and nice at the touch when holding it to your chinโs skin, not scratchy at all, as I find some other yarns. The composition of 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester could not be better for the planet and to assuage my consumer guilt. I will be buying a lot more of this if they have a suitable colour range, so far I like the cream, dark grey and green, and Iโll check out the reds too. The value for money is really unbelievable. Only negative comment is that I followed the advice on the label which recommends using needles 5-6mm, and that was a brief disaster: the fabric was too loose and floppy and I did not like it, it appeared almost as lace. Instead, I used 3.75mm on rib and 4.5mm on the body of my sweater and that was a lot better. But I guess 4mm or 4.25mm for the body would probably have been even better. BEWARE, as that would definitely change the recommended tension. Since I am still knitting my project and I have not yet wet blocked it or washed it (the label recommends 30 degree wash), I really have no way of knowing how it will looks after several washes, but since it is already recycled, I hope it will stand well to being washed regularly.

Knits as double knitting
This is really lovely yarn. However a test square came up as double knitting on 4mm needles and was loose. Wasnโt a problem. I just changed pattern to a dk which I was going to knit anyway. If you want a tighter knit I think you would have to go down to at least 3 1/2 and 2 3/4mm needles. Also itโs very silky and itโs easy to drop stitches or for them to slide off the needles. I had to swap from metal to plastic to bamboo and still stitches slid off. Itโs so nice, such a good price and the fact itโs recycled is amazing! Iโm persevering. Iโve also bought two more colours (gluten for punishment or what๐คฃ) to knit the same pattern for myself.

Nice quality, washes well, amazing colours
Really nice quality yarn. I am obsessed and I think this will be my go to yarn going forward for my crochet projects. Be carefull, it is not beginner friendly yarn, as it can split a bit so once you are more confident it should be okay. It is not a soft fluffy yarn, but a strong "sweatshirt" like yarn as it is cotton. Washed really well. The light blue colour is actually a gorgeous mint colour, actually I personally didn't mind it. Look at the photos. I hope they will come up with a color changing ombre yarn in this quality soon

Excellent quality
I have been using Re-Cotton for a couple of years now. Excellent to crochet with. Very heavy for blankets but super soft.

Basic cotton yarn, average ๐คทโโ๏ธ
So this yarn does what it says on the tin. It's a basic cotton yarn and there's not a lot to write home about. But the reason it's only got 3 stars is the feel of it, it's quite rough. I didn't notice it so much while I was crocheting but the resulting cardigan is stiff and rough to touch so it's not particularly comfortable and as someone with sensory issues, I haven't worn it really because I just don't like how it feels. I think it would be more suited to an open weave for crochet, where the stitches aren't so dense and it can drape easier. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact it's recycled but I wouldn't recommend for clothing. Homeware, dishcloths, bags etc. good choice of colours though and decent value for money considering the amount you get. (Yes it does split but that's kind of the craic with 100% cotton non-mercerised yarn, no matter what brand, it'll split).

Different Colour - Much Paler
Lovely wool, good price, ok shade but not what I ordered. The image on the description is much more vibrant and warm than the wool I received, which was much cooler and in some lights looked grey.
