Works and looks great

Really easy to replace and change out on your own. I have a 2007 honda odyssey and had drove around with the glove box zipped tied for 8plus months and I got sick of it and did it myself. Super easy.

Color matched the interior of a 2005 Odyssey just fine. The old lock assembly came out by grabbing a short screwdriver and removing two small screws in the glove box lid. The locking mechanism itself was easily removed from the old assembly and inserted into the new. But when I went to install, using the same screws that came from the old assembly, they wouldn't twist all the way in. Only a quarter of an inch at best, even if the screws were perfectly lined up in the holes. As if the screws weren't threaded right or the holes they were going into didn't match. I had to use a power tool to force the screws into their holes. Also, when you pull up on the handle now to release the latch, it's tougher. It provides resistance sufficient that you think the glove box is locked at first. But if you give it a sharp tug it does click and release the latch. So whatever causes this in the mechanism, it's not as smooth as the old one.

Repair broken dash latch

Had to go on Ody Club website to learn how to switch out lock cylinder from old latch assembly but other than that, it was easy to install.

This did the trick and fixed our glove compartment. The design hasn't changed so it might break again at some point because the lever that opens the latch is plastic. Hopefully it holds out for a couple of years but it would be nice if someone would make one with a metal lever that won't break again.

My dad installed this for me cause my lock broke. The only thing that I disliked was that it didn't come with any screws, at least a couple of them.
