Very nice looking rain barrels
Great rain catch barrels. Look great in the yard. I own seven so far. Add the optional stand to ensure you can get the water out easily into your watering can or bucket. The screen used for the filter doesn't handle heavy flow or large debris all the time, so you may have to reseat the screen and the trim that holds it in from time to time, but still a great rain barrel. The ability to add additional barrels in high flow locations is great, I have 3 in series in one location and they fill up with even gentle rain. I love using water from the sky on my plants long after the rain has left.

One year later - still satisfied
Have used this for one season and think it works well - easy to set up and clean. Looks good in our setting. No problems with water flow or leakage.

Works as intended.
Good value, no complaints. It does exactly what advertised. When full, it has good flow from the bottom spigot, but must remember water flows at waters level, so the barrel must be placed pretty high in order to get a high pressure flow. Could utilize a pump if placing on the ground. We found it’s almost easier to just dunk a watering can in the top instead of using the spigot. There is a place on the side of the barrel that you can connect it to another one. We just use it as an overflow spout. Spigot was easy to install. Visually appealing.

Great Size for Rainwater Collection, Molding Quality A Little Uneven
Living in the desert southwest, water is precious, and being able to collect what little rainwater we get and store it for use with my backyard plants is essential. I've been using collapsible barrels for the last couple of seasons but they can't take the environmental punishment of our intense summers and I needed something more permanent/durable. The 55-gallon size and height dimensions were perfect for my needs and paired up well with the downspout diverter I had already been using. The flat back made it easy to mount it flush up against the side of my house and I really like the quality of the look/finish of the 'barrel' exterior. It has a removable long rectangular mesh screen for the top that keeps out debris and critters and the mesh is fine enough to block mosquitoes from getting in and setting up a breeding factory. The screen rests in a recessed slot and it's easy to pop it out for a quick wash if it gets blocked up for easy maintenance. I was less impressed with the spigot included, however. It's sturdy brass but uses an internal compression gasket to close off instead of a ball cock, so I ended up replacing it with a brass bulkhead spigot that provides a better setup and allows for a greater volume of water flow out as well by comparison. Some care was required to do this as the bottom plug's threads are plastic and fragile and the plumber's tape (included with the rain barrel spigot hardware) is essential to ensure a good seal. I also encountered fit issues with the barrel lid, it fits tightly at the rear but the front didn't, creating a noticeable gap/bulge that could only be fixed by using a pair of self-tapping screws to secure it. There are also some quality issues with the cutout at the top for the connection fitting, which allows for daisy chaining to another barrel. It was uneven and needed to be trimmed out with a knife to be the correct size. I do like the design of the overflow integrating with the lid to create a spout as it meant I could place a splash/runoff diverter that used to be at the downspout at the base of the barrel to catch it effectively. The quality issues above are the only things holding this back from being a 5-star product. All in all, it's a large capacity and durable rain barrel solution and fits what I need for that side of my house.

So Far It Works Great!
I got this as a gift for my sister, who has a small garden in her yard and pays a small fortune every month for city water. This is exactly what she needed as she can use rain and run off to water her veggies. She reports back that the container is very sturdy, clean and works well by attaching a hose to the spigot.

It's Serving It's Purpose
This arrived on time, packed in a cardboard box that was in good condition upon arrival. I purchased this to catch heavy rain that comes off a particular part of my roof and onto a patio, where the water pools and sometimes seeps under the foundation and into my home. It's sturdy and durable. It comes with a lid with an area for the water to go into the barrel, but the water falls so hard and fast that I just keep the lid off. I attached a hose to the spicate that's at the bottom and ran the hose to my pool. There is the capability to attach a 2nd barrel to the first one for overflow, which is something I may do in the future. I can open the spicate and allow the captured rain water to flow into my inground pool when it needs to be filled. I also use the captured rain water to water my potted plants. I did raise it up on large landscaping bricks, to increase the gravity when I open the spicate to drain the water into the pool. The spicate is very low to the bottom of the barrel, which makes it hard to use unless you elevate the barrel. For me, it is a good value for the money.

Complete satisfaction.
So far, super happy with this barrel! I added a pump and used a hole saw to allow the pump cord to exit the upper left side of the barrel. I used the hole already available on the upper right side to place the pump hose for filling my 2.5 gal water jugs. No leaks & I couldn't be more pleased with this set up.

Model pics are "perfect" detail, actual product Not nearly so
Initially taking it out of the box I thought it was a damaged return but it's apparent that it's poorly painted, if you could call it that, scrapes off with ease similar to a protective elastic coating on a Appliance. Scratch that actually not even as good as that. Looking inside the barrel it's apparently clean and hasn't been used on the seams look okay it comes with a brass spigot and overflow hose attachment. The aluminum screen looks okay although it could be a lot larger of a Inlet for a gutter. It's a real disappointment for something that looked to be so aesthetic. In addition, the false wood grain is more shallow on the actual product than the nice deep full screen on the model pictures. And forget about the distressed wood look this thing just looks to be a flat charcoal color. Again disappointment, I don't want to stress with sending it back and Hauling this thing around to return via UPS or whatever so I may just stick it on the side of the house for a AC runoff tube that is out of sight. Maybe this poor example is the reason why it was $20 cheaper than the lighter tan colored pieces but I can't imagine that those had a higher quality paint, could be wrong though. Same brand and model. $189 versus 220. ARRRGH!
