I think I saw Adam Savage using this. It's great. I use it all the time soldering small components that aren't small enough to use my microscope. Great product with lots of magnification choices.

you can see the details with this. first you need to figure out what lens to put on. it will depend on your eyesight and what you are working on. there is a light that puts good working light to your focus area. the only thing i have an issue is that its front heavy on me and likes to rest on my nose. i am going to back weight it to balance it out more. its super handy for tiny detail work.

Not the best quality but works as described...I judge that for it's price point it is quite decent...IF you are really working on very near to your face projects otherwise unlike your glasses this can be a bit straining to look trough (the distortion factor might be a bit much for eyes) if you just want that simple magnification function especially as you combo trough the 2 lenses to get that magnification up.

Also here from a recommendation from Adam Savage on his YouTube channel Tested. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and features of this magnifier. I do not wear glasses, nor have used a magnifier, but I was amazed by how much simpler it was to perform detailed work on something up close. The lenses are simple clear and crisp, and the overhead light is angle adjustable to illuminate your project. The head strap is sturdy, comfortable, and easily adjustable via the dials. I added some loctite to the swivel nuts on the sides, as I found that the magnifier would loose its ability to hold itself up after being raised and lowered a few times. It now holds perfectly.

I paid more for this item, plus shipping, because I wanted the different head strap that has one adjustable strap going behind the head and another going over the top of the head. If I had known that this is what I was getting I would have ordered a cheaper one that actually gets delivered next day instead of 3 weeks wait and comes with usb recharging instead of using 3 aaa batteries for the light. It does work but I’m disappointed. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE!!!

The shape of the headgear is horrible. I can manage with it, but I'd guess that a lot of people would hate it. The material is not the type that will confirm, so that's almost a deal breaker. Also, more frustrating, it isn't actually magnifying much, what it really does is change the focus. For example, if you want to see some tiny in your hand at reading distance, this doesn't help. What it will do, instead, is allow you to bring the object much closer to your eyes, which is really where the magnification comes from, and the focus will still be far away, so that it's much more comfortable to look at. If you have hard time seeing up close this can really help, and is better for your eyes anyway, but I'm frustrated that I can't just get a zoomed in view, I actually have to bring the object closer to me. This is ok ish for what I'm doing, but knowing this I will be much more careful next time when buying one of these.

These are great for close up work. I used a couple different magnifiers and the light and wow.

the lenses are quite clear and well formed... no cloudiness, easily positioned and worked fine with my glasses. The LED is bright white and really nice for the tiny stuff I have to do on hearing aids.Glad I bought this. Myth-busters for the win!
