First of all your laptop must still have the original one that came with it at purchase. If so all that information should be on the charging unit attached to the cord. It should tell you the voltage and wattage. If you do have the original, just look at the part that connects to the laptop and see if it has a blue tip. Excellent!!!

My original charger that came with the HP laptop, made my laptop make a weird noise every time I plugged it in. Until eventually it stopped charging at all. My laptop was making a weird scratching sound (it was several years old). This charger worked perfectly and honestly I think it charges faster than the original one!😁 now my laptop doesn’t make that weird sound anymore because it has a working charger.
