Rust-Oleum Metallic Silver Spray Paint

Although the other reviews mostly already say what I am about to, I still need to say my piece. :)I have looked for gold (silver and copper) paints in the past and have come up empty, so in the last few years I 'just assumed' that the metallic paints were still as they were back then. I was wrong.The GOLD paint being reviewed here is REALLY GOLD, for me it appears as though it is actually really gold precious metal, the really, REALLY bad job of trying to make you think it is as shiny as the gold cap is crazy. The cap is not something I would want, at least for me, but thankfully I saw some actual samples of 'stuff' that others have sprayed and was wowed by what I saw, it wasn't the crappy fake looking cap color, it was real gold to me.So, after a quick test I sprayed some on some round rocks that you can buy at Hobby Lobby and places like that, I wanted to paint my rocks to appear to be gold. Tacky, right? :) I did, and I was really happy with the outcome, it is not a brass look, it's actually so realistically gold that this paint should be REALLY popular with crafters, or maybe even more popular.As far as the longevity of the paint job that is yet to be seen, I read another review here that said after a few months the COPPER paint dulled slightly possibly from there being some real copper in it that it did what real copper would, tarnish. This is just for the GOLD though, I am REALLY happy with this, I wish I could paint a lot more stuff but I need to restrain myself and keep it at a minimum. :)Get this stuff, you really won't regret it, anyway, there is no other gold paint that even comes close to what this stuff can do, so really you don't have much choice.

Excellent product! I was a bit hesitant because the cap looked too shiny. I was afraid it might look tacky but it has a beautiful satin finish. I painted these black planters with their stand and I didn't use a primer and I would say the coverage was great.

Great Finish with Some Prep WorkI used the Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray Paint (Gold) for a DIY home decor project—revamping some old picture frames and a small table. The finish is beautiful and has a nice shimmer without being overly glittery or fake-looking. It dries fairly quickly and adheres well to wood and metal surfaces.Pros:✅ The metallic finish is very realistic and smooth.✅ Easy to apply if you follow the instructions.✅ Dries to the touch in about 30 minutes.✅ Doesn’t clog easily (as long as you shake it well).Cons:❌ You really need to prep the surface well—sand and prime if you want the best results.❌ The smell is very strong, so definitely use it in a well-ventilated area or outside.❌ Coverage isn’t great for larger projects—you may need more than one can.Overall, I’m really happy with the look. I’d recommend it for anyone doing small to medium DIY projects who wants a classy metallic look. Just be patient with prep and use light coats

I’m honestly really impressed with this Rust-Oleum Metallic spray paint. The coverage is smooth and even, and it gives such a rich, shiny gold finish that instantly upgrades anything you use it on. In my case, it completely transformed these small elephant figures—they look high-end and decorative now, almost like something you’d buy at a boutique.

The perfect gold color! My kitchen is white and gold and now I'm running around the house spray painting, all accents gold! 😂
