Sexy Silver Fox
Sebastien and Trent. I was ready to dislike Seb, (he was seen in previous books but you can read on its own) he was so focused on his Hollywood business that he seemed dismissive of anything outside of his ex and his family. But when said ex announced his wedding Seb needed something. Cue Trent. He is very funny, charming, his feet on the ground and Seb can't help but fall for his charms. I wanted more and more and more but all good things come to an end. Great start to a new series. Oh and hello silver fox - yummy!

A new series
Oh I loved this start to a new series. We have met Seb before and he didn't seem likeable, but loved how he turned out and why he was. Trent too had his demons. What a fabulous story

Lane Hayes at her best!
I really wished I had read Lane Hayes Starting From series first. I know it can be read as a Standalone but when people from that series start popping up, I was so confused. Also, Seb is in that series, and we get to know him in there. So, I would so recommend that you read that series first, then you won’t be as confused as I was at certain parts. I’m going to read that series and then reread this one, maybe then I will enjoy this story more. This book has become one of my favourite Lane Hayes books and I loved the Out in College Series so much! Seb was just so amazing to get to know. When a character puts up a big front and as the story progresses, we get to see the real person. Hollywood changes some people, and they start to try and put up a perfect front. Who they are on camera and in front of the Hollywood world isn’t who they really are? Trent was a surprise as he is his genuine self and that’s rare to see in the world of Hollywood. He sees the real Seb and he doesn’t use him to make a name for himself, may would but he didn’t. He wanted all in and he was just the perfect match for Seb. I love an age-gap romance and especially a silver fox like Seb. I love seeing the walls that a person has crumble and that only happens with the right one, Trent was that person for him. It may have not been your typical love story, but it works for them. The whole Hollywood scene wasn’t for me, and this book has a lot of it. I guessed it would have but it started to confuse me so much at points. They were both involved in the film industry, so I knew all that comes with that. I did love the book and there were so many emotions I went through reading it. Lane Hayes can write about anything, and it always turns out amazing. I know we will probably see these two in the rest of the series and I can’t wait for it to continue.I received this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

An enjoyable read
I’m a fan of Lane Hayes and enjoy her stories and style of writing. Seb and Trent’s story was good and keep me hooked from the beginning to see how their relationship would unfold. I wasn’t too keen on all the Hollywood BS but that’s me being idealistic I guess. All in all a great start to a new series.

The Real Baxter
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~This is an enjoyable read, giving us a slightly different slant as we get to see Hollywood from the successful owner/embodiment of a franchise and an actor who has resorted to being a (not very good) stuntman to get work.Seb recognises that he might be able to use Trent as a hook for his new movie, and so behaves out of character to keep the guy near. As time goes on, we get to see that he realises that there may be something real in their time together, but isn't entirely sure he knows what real is any more.Trent has not had his breakthrough moment, but in spite of working in a restaurant to enable him to keep waiting for the chance, he is starting to question what he is doing. Whilst Seb could be his game changer, he doesn't want to be a user, as he likes the guy.I found it very believable that they could break through the nonsense of the film world and actually find a genuine romance - not necessarily one which would last, but one which was based on attraction and a degree of honesty. But nothing is ever simple, and the twists and turns keep us guessing. I definitely had more empathy for Trent than Seb!~~Wicked Reads Review Team~~

MY FAVOURITE LANE ROMANCE EVER!
I knew I liked Seb in Lane’s Starting From series but I wasn’t prepared for how much I’d fall for him when we got more of his story. And Trent was a perfect match for him, someone who wasn’t phased by Seb’s position or influenceWith Lane’s sparkling dialogue and wonderful touches of humour, coupled with some incredible heat, The Real Baxter takes readers on a rollercoaster of emotionsI loved seeing all the usual suspects from the Starting From series too. Gray and Julian are as loved up as ever, Charlie and Ky are solid as a rock, and there are brief appearances from the other Zero guys to round it out. This was a “read in one go” romance as I couldn’t put it down, loving the changes in pace and building up to a head when all Seb’s previous manoeuvrings as head of a film studio come back to bite him.A brilliant opener to this new series and now I’m intrigued as to who’s up next. Also this cover! Utterly perfect depiction of the gorgeous silver fox Seb.
