## Questions & Answers

**Q: how is this product secured to kerf?**
A: The installer pushes the product into the kerf.  There is no need for glue as the fit is very snug. It is a very easy project.  As you remove the original weather stripping and replace it with the new, 'what goes where' becomes obvious. It only requires a bit of strength to butt the strip in evenly along the strip length.

**Q: How does this compare against the Q-lon weatherstripping? I have to replace some sections torn up by my cat but want to make sure it doesn’t look bad.**
A: I’m really picky and I think it looks great- more important than the look is the super great seal that it provides around the door when the winter comes in. Just remember that you need a groove or a channel that goes around the frame of the door. The old one has to be pulled out of the door frame and this one pushed in which I do with soapy water.

**Q: Is there a special tool for cutting the kerf in older door frames?**
A: I don’t know of such a tool.  I suppose one could use a cutoff tool but it would be difficult to do.

**Q: Is this a thicker strip? Or standard size? Looking for something thicker.**
A: Standard size.
