I was eyeballing this one and the DW Lo Pro - which is at least 2-1/2 times the price for the 4 piece shell kit. I decided on the Tama because I saw nothing but great reviews. While this kit takes up a small foot print, let me tell you, this kit does not disappoint and has great sound. It should be noted that there is no resonant head and only batter heads on this kit. For those of you wondering how loud? Loud enough for sure. I strike the drums a little harder than the average person I have heard, but I would not say by much. Not that I'm any more qualified to review than anyone else, I'd like to point out that I am an investor in a business that teaches music lessons and the business snagged my kit. I am writing this review because I wanted another one and noticed I didn't write a review prior. Don't hesitate if you're looking for a nice and compact kit.
