This is nice. It's a pretty snug fit, but that's probably for the best. A sloppy fit might keep the case from protecting the unit well. If you smooth out the ribbon and set the scanner on top of it, removal is pretty easy. I've found for me, the best scanner orientation for easy zipping is positioning the scanner so the logo lines up with the area *above * the interior pocket on the lid. However, I have arthritic, clumsy hands. That may not be the best strategy for those that don't. I still thought it was worth noting in this review. The inner pocket is handy storage for the USB cable. When I first saw this, I thought it was a bit expensive, because I'm on a fixed income. However, it's better quality than I expected. The zippers feel reliable. I'm glad I decided to purchase it. Around $30 is reasonable. I recommend it, especially for those that won't be able to just leave the scanner sitting on a desk or table full time. If you have to put the scanner away after using it, this is a good value.

This item is very well made and protects my scanner quite well. Other reviews have said it is too tight for the v39II. This was not my experience. It is very snug, but in a good way, and there is a strap that you stick under the scanner that you can pull to get it out easier. If you own this scanner, and plan to take it places with you, I highly recommend this product.
