Good Product, Good Support from Supplier
I ordered this and was missing a piece. I called the supplier and piece was delivered in several days. Since then I have used it several times to haul two containers (one trash one recyclables) up a hill and out my driveway to where my trash service empties them. I have a bad back and it was difficult to do that prior to getting this device, now it is very easy for me. I highly recommend.

Very sturdy can hauler for a receiver hitch
I have had this product for almost a year now. This thing is very sturdy and heavy duty. It will pull two of the standard size wheel cans that your trash company provides at a time even loaded full with pretty heavy stuff. I think short of filling your cans with lead shavings or something you should not have any issues with weight. My drive is about 1000 feet long and just gravel. I have very little elevation change so I can’t speak to how well hills are handled. The arms that pull the can are adjustable if your cans are bigger or smaller. Note that the cans pretty much need to be the style of can with the wheels and the two bars style pull handleYou can pull one can at a time as well, you’ll just want to use the two center hooks instead of the outer ones. Some have complained about the arm swinging around when the cans are not evenly weighted, I would say I have not experienced this issue myself, I have had a nearly empty can and a full can together and not had an issue. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but you would have to have a very huge weight difference. The one thing I will echo in the product description is do not ever back up even a little bit with cans attached. This is for forward pull only. If you reverse it immediately starts pushing the cans upright which applies pressure up towards the arm. If you keep going it will break the device and the cans will go under the vehicle. If you need to reverse for any reason you will have to stop, unhook the cans and get turned around before hooking the cans up again. All in all a very sturdy product that works well

Seems rugged and well designed so far.
Only just got it so I can't say anything about long term durability or ease of use, but it's a lot more rugged than I thought it would be - I've seen some of these that are pretty flimsy. It's pretty solid and doesn't look like it'll bend or break easy. You do have to assemble it (at least a couple of crescent wrenches required). The hold down clips are a good idea. I had another design previously that had no hold downs, and the garbage cans would pop off. You probably want to assemble it in as wide a configuration as possible unless your garbage cans are small ones.---12/5/23: 5 year post review: I'm still using this every week. Mine has taken a bit of a beating - I once drove in reverse, forgetting I had the bins back there, and bent it a bit. I have made a modification that has fixed my one complaint. When you unlatch the clips, you either have to pocket them, or let them drop on the ground. I bought some wire lanyards, and attached each of the clips to a bolt on the frame, using them, so they just dangle when you unclip them (see my 3rd photo).

Works great
Great for getting our two trash cans down our gravel road to the pickup point. Like others I did not like the pins that came with it. They were a pain to put in and take out. If you do decide to purchase the Trash Commander, do yourself a favor and pick up a couple of these rachet clamps at your local hardware store for a few bucks. The clamps make things a whole lot easier and faster.

Quality product!
This works great; even on my uneven, dirt driveway! And the customer service is fantastic!

Back saver
The media could not be loaded. Our driveway is about half a mile long. Walking to cans to the road was rough so we would usually lift them into our 4x4. But that was killing our backs too. This thing comes in major handy for us. It’s quality material, easy to take on and off of the 4x4. Also easy to just leave on. Putting it together was a little bit harder for me to figure out but I found a video on YouTube for it and that helped.

Weak Design - IT BENDS!
The center post is a weak design and it bends when two cans, heavy, are on it. It should be redesigned with a stronger center connection.

Great Product and Great Customer Service
The product itself is self explanatory. It does exactly what it says it does. It saves me from dragging two barrels almost 1/2 mile down the lane each week. It's built solid. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble. It goes on and off the truck hitch easily. What should sell you on this product is the customer service after the sale. I contacted them right after purchasing it to get the adapter for my type of barrel. Easy enough, they sent it along. A month or so after purchasing this, I lost two of the PT clips. I contacted them to see how to order replacements. All they asked for was my previous order number and they shipped two more out to me, no questions asked. Now, I know the parts are only a couple of bucks at the local hardware, but I wanted to be sure I got the right size and such, so I contacted them directly. I didn't expect them to send them right out. I received them about 2 days later. That's service. Some companies would charge you for the part, for the shipping and handling, make you write a novel as to why you need the replacement part, etc. Not these guys. You can buy an item similar to this at other sellers or sites, but you probably won't get this level of service after the sale if you did! That counts for more than anything in my book!
