Oscar Otter (I Can Read Level 1) Paperback – October 28, 1980

I used to read this book when I was a kid so I bought it for my first born and I am so excited to start reading it to her!

I got the book sooner than anticipated, and the book was in great shape.

Such a sweet story! Book came quickly and was in perfect condition.

My son loves me to read this to him. It is one of the few books where he is enthralled and has a great smile - sortof like when he is watching other children play.The story line is an child Otter that loves to slide down into the pond decides to venture into the mountains to make a really big, great slide and gets chased by a wolf - but keeps his wits about him. There are morals to the story, when the parent warns you of danger there is a reason; and be resourceful when faced with a challenge.The State of California, Dept of Education, has this book on their reccomended "level 1" readers list. It deserves it.

A childhood favorite... Our son is now reading the book we read to him to his children.

The art work stood out to me as a child so i had to purchase for my daughter. She loves it!

wonderful classic and new favorite of another generation

My 6 year old daughter loves this book. Fun illustrations and a lesson that parents really do have a good reason for rules. "I love otters!"

I read this to my children and now it read it to my grandchildren. I point to the words as I read them. The simple vocabulary is still exciting to read, by no means stilted.

Grate book for beginers. Made me the speeling genious I am today!
