Can be used on multiple surfaces, including encaustic. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An amazing product *by D***S on January 7, 2022* Very hard to say everything that must be said about them in a short review, but bottom line is I cannot recommend them highly enough. May be wise to start with a trial set if you're not sure because they are so expensive. But I loved them and so I now have about 30 colors. They are just so nice and so fun to use. You do need more colors of these than you do with tube paints. This set of 10 in particular does not come with a white or black, and you should definitely order those. I would also recommend a gray, a brown, a purple, and an orange. They work perfectly in conjunction with tube paints, and the same solvents and oil media you would use with tube paints. I've done whole paintings with just drawing with these directly on the canvas and then a little brushing to finish and blend parts; I've also done a whole painting with these by mixing chunks of them on a palette with oil to make liquid paint; and everything in between.
