Photography was done by MGM studios in IMAX, later remastered into BluRay! Great action, Great Photography. The Military finally discovered GoPro cameras!!! Review: Amazing USAF production - This is extremely well made despite the amateur acting by actual USAF guys. They are actually very interesting, and has some of the best video of modern military aviation Ive ever seen. It was an IMAX film, so its absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommended even for people who know little about the military. If you wanna see what the USAF does, this is a great film. By Carl Gould

Great up close footage of Fighters !
Maybe not the most realistic portrayal of Red Flag some "fake sounds" of flares popping and a video game feel in some areas. But no doubt some good points to this film namely up close {very close} quality footage of Fighters such as F-16C's and F-15E's among others. In fact the best I've seen of this type in a video yet! Although no intense maneuvering or pulling high G's or "thundering, roaring, screaming sounds and stunning aerobatics that will blow you away!" as the cover promises to deliver. The film is toned down and simplified in it's presentation for the average person. This may be disappointing to hardcore military jet lovers. Included is a 2nd disc of the film in high -def for your PC. Also a 20 minute bonus flight video of the film that can be viewed with a musical soundtrack turned on or off.The video can be set to a continuous loop or played once. I did enjoy this bonus as well! In addition to this is a "making of" documentary This film had the potential to be even better but that aside in my opinion it is worth the money and a look despite what some others have said here in their reviews. Now go buy it and enjoy !

Fighter Pilot
I purchased this video for my dad. He was a pilot in the air force. He was also my instructor when I got my private pilots license. The video has some of the best aerial photography I have ever seen. I was a little dissappointed when I viewed it on my big screen though. It did not show as clean as when I saw it in HD on the MOJO tv channel. I wish it could be put into HD wide screen. Otherwise I thought the video was great. Dave

Goosebumps all over
On the topic of the NTSC disc possibly not playing in "multizone" players outside of zone 1, I am happy to say that my JVC home theatre system (in Zone 2, PAL television country South Africa) had no problem in playing it in it's full glory. Despite it being obvious that quite a bit of the move was "staged", it doesn't detract enough from sheer moments of power, where surround sound comes to its right like never before, to warrant it not being given 5 out of 5. The Windows High Definition product also creates visuals on my computer monitor that has not been matched closely by anything else ever. Despite the high cost of having it sent all the way to South Africa, it has already a "money well spent" item to me. No regrets (on the contrary, constant pats on the back!) on having taken the chance to purchase this product! Hanno Liebenberg Cape Town, South Africa

Pretty good but not the best
I saw this movie at the Imax Theater at the Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. It is a must for any aviation enthusiast. I would rate it a B+. The movie keeps repeating information and the landing sequences are all the same. It gets a bit boring in the latter part of the movie. To me, it seemed a little disjointed in the end. They show some high tech 3D animation but do not follow it up. I felt that a lot of video footage of the planes landing were the same. The makers of this movie need to take some pointers from the makers of "Magic of Flight". The "Magic of Flight" guys kept it interesting all through the duration of the DVD. To sum it up, I would watch it but it will not be on my list of favorites.

Excellent for the young curious about fighter pilots
This beautifully shot documentary is excellent for curious young minds interested in fighter pilots and their jets. The different range of aircraft and ground vehicles is fantastic and they are all shown in a way that will fascinate and not scare young viewers. There are explosions, but no war footage or bodily harm shown in the film. My 4 yr old loved the story of the fighter pilot following in his Grandpas footsteps. This film makes you appreciate the dedication and hard work that it takes to become a fighter pilot and one of their ground crew. The special feature showing 20 mins of aircraft set to music is also a bonus.

Loved the story and the flying - even mentioned our Canadian pilots being part of this particular exercise.

The second disk didn't work on my desktop or lap top. But the first disc (DVD) worked fine.
