On vacation at beach side condo rental. One of my kiddies broke this shelf insert inside the right hand door of the refrigerator. We were leaving in two days and wanted to make the situation right before leaving. Trying to find appliance parts is nearly impossible anymore, right? I looked up the GE refrigerator model on Amazon and wouldn't you know it, they had the exact part we needed for the door shelf. I ordered this on one-day shipping and it arrived at the condo as promised. It was the exact piece, matched the original GE one, and fit perfectly. Upon departing, we left a note for the condo owner, who then reached out and greatly appreciated our act of kindness.

Yes, this is the right part for the door shelf! Just ignore the dimensions in the product description. This part (WR71X10764) is slightly over 12 inches long and fits perfectly in my GE Profile Refrigerator (Model #PSSS3RGXCSS) The Sears part number for my door shelf is WR71X10607. Just Google "sears parts" >go to the site> search by model number>enter your refrigerator's Model number> Fresh Food Door> scroll down to see the part number for you refrigerator. The Sears site is great and very helpful but it is hard to order from and shipping is a lot higher. I saved about $10 on this part by ordering from Amazon.

I've had my fridge for about 4 years and this plastic shelf insert has lasted a good while until a family member got angry and took it out on the insert (ahem) when they slammed the door shut. It took a while to find the right part number for a replacement. This does not look exactly like the others: it's curved on top and the rest of mine are straight. But it's clear and hey: in our house, the fridge door stays shut most of the time so no one is really looking at it. It keeps the cold stuff on the shelf and that's really what I need. <smile>

Got to replace same missing part in my refrigerator. A little difficult to get the piece inserted, but pretty confident it won't come undone.

I really wanted to get this item and replace the broken one I have, however, I received a damaged item twice. I was willing to replace it with the first return but another damaged piece has arrived. If you don't have a brand new one, tell me and let's not waste our time with these returns. Then again, this item wasn't packed with any protective gear; whereas you include plastic balloons with books, for instance O_o.
