Very good quality stir rod. It came broken in half, unfortunately. This is not their fault though, as Amazon is who packaged and sent it. Pure graphite is very brittle, so it doesn't mean this isn't a quality product. The remains of the rod are very sturdy and hard to break. I very heavy package had to have been thrown on top of it at some point in transit.

I accidentally dropped this as soon as I opened the package and it broke. My own fault, but from the parts, I assume it would have been great at its job.

This thing easily breaks, mine broke when I was pushing some steel out of the melted silver. Good thing It broke a small portion from the tip so I guess I can still make this work

Before you use it got have to heat it up to remove all the moisture from it after you know that there's no moisture in it you have to heat it up red hot hotter than the temperature that you're going to subject it to later. After it cools then you're now ready to use it as a stirring stick.
