I was SO very excited about this lid before it arrived and I tested it out. I still like the lid and the concept behind the lid, but it isn't completely leak/spill proof like I was SO hoping it would be. I'm 99.99% sure that I'm putting it on correctly so that everything should seal correctly and not leak (I leave the lid open while putting it on the tumbler and then once securely on the tumbler I close the sipping and straw closures), but the straw closure leaks... not even a slow leak, it dribbles out fairly quickly. It might prevent any spillage from just a very, very brief tip over if the tumbler was immediately picked back up... possibly. I would never trust it in a bag that would have the slightest possibility of having the tumbler go mostly/completely on it's side or end over end at all though (which is what I was hoping for). I love that the flip up part that allows for sipping lays almost completely flat back against the other side of the lid when open and the straw length is great. I do wish that the straw hole was the exact size of the Yeti straw hole on the Yeti straw lid though because I have stainless steel straws that are just a bit too big to fit in this cold-1 straw hole but do fit in the Yeti straw hole. The lid does seem to be pretty sturdy and well made, aside from the leaking around the straw hole closure. The lid will still work well as a spill/splash resistant lid, so I figure it's not worth returning and most likely getting the return shipping deducted from my refund... so I will be keeping. Still a great lid, I'm just a little let down because I had such high hopes for it I guess.

I love my Reduce 40oz mug. I, like many others, get tired of mugs or grossed out by how dirty they get. This is the only mug that I’ve had for over a year. The rubber gasket around the top got moldy though (yuck). I saw this and was happy the purchase it rather than buy a whole new mug. One, I saved myself some money. And two, I am not contributing to more waste. It’s a win win. Also, I saw on the Reduce website that they sells the rubber gasket separately too! I will be purchased those once they are in stock as well!

It was amazing, but did not fit my 40oz Hydrapeak Tumbler sadly. But I’m buying a new cup because I love the set up of the straw and lid.

First, it fits very snug and doesn’t leak when you drink. I don’t use the straw, so I snap the lid shut when I’m not drinking from it. I find I have to use a lot more force to open it than when the entire thing was brand new. I’m really not complaining, but just thought I would add this in for anyone with arthritis or other chronic pain issues. It is a great lid.

The lid is 99% identical to the original Cold1 34oz tumbler. The fit is perfect. My photos show the original black straw and small black cap instead of the new clear straw and gray cap because I moved the old parts over.
