Its OK for what it does.

One bulb from each pack of four bulbs was defective and didn’t work. Two bulbs are about $10 or so

For my stove fan hood light. One was broken and they refunded me quickly. Good buy!

Fits our light sockets perfectly and gives off a good light. Have not used long enough to judge longevity.

I use these in an all-day application, 12 hours on / 12 hours off. They burn out after ~ 2mo, or about 720 hours, which is only 65% of their rated lifetime of 1100 hours. They state in a disclaimer that 50% of their lights will last at least the rated lifetime, though in my experience over a year (6-7 bulbs) I've never had one last over 720 hours, let alone hit 1100. They seem to have shaved a little too much off their design quality and missed their own spec.That said, the halogen light output is nice as is the lumens per watt energy consumption. So I like the light, but I only buy them when there is a drop in price because of the lifetime issues.

great buy - will reorder

After waiting for almost 3 weeks for my order (thanks to Amazon for using ParcelPool to deliver to Maui), I am happy to see them all working in my master bedroom. They dim beautifully and they definitely enhance the space.Our apartment was remodeled with recessed and dimmable lighting throughout the living and dining areas, and the master bedroom. Once we moved in, all the bulbs started burning out, and my husband believes our outrageous electric bill is because of all these light bulbs (50W R20 NFL by Sylvania) - 13 in total. He put 13w CFLs in 2 places, but those aren't dimmable, and they are noisy and unsightly. Our power bill is still high, even though prior to me buying these new bulbs, we had only 5 original bulbs working throughout the apartment.After pricing out more energy efficient alternatives - of which there are many - I realized they are cost-prohibitive. If we moved I'd be taking the bulbs with me, but I'm not sure I'd ever have a need for 13 NFL bulbs that are supposed to last 20+ years.I hope these new 30W bulbs do not increase out electric bill too much, and I'll be making my husband buy the next box ;)

Until there are standards in the Halogen light production i'ts best to replace the burnt out light bulb with the same Brand, model (spot or flood) and wattage.I could only find this Philips bulb through Amazon.Thanks..

could easily find a bulb that matches the 4 others ones that still work... 4 stars cause its a little expensive.
