I’m a HUGE fan of using French cleats for hanging artwork now! I’ll never go back to using stupid nails or hangers. I have several pieces of artwork that are 2 or 3 pieces and trying to get level AND stay level is insane. The French cleat basically eliminates pictures going out of level AND makes hanging several pieces level really easy. Absolutely worth the investment!

Used this to mount a large framed painting on the wall. Bought this one to ensure I could hit two studs to handle the weight.

We bought these brackets to hold a wooden art piece my husband made. The art piece probably weighs 50-60lb and was even bowed all the way across. We hoped these brackets would be strong enough to pull the wood flush against the way so it wouldnt bow off, and they did!! Very happy with them!

I loved these. I tried other types of cleats but I always come back to these. They are easy to install, I love that a small level is included which makes it even easier to use. I am an artist and recently painted a few mirror frames and the mirrors were large/heavy. These cleats worked like a charm. I can level it on the wall before I attach to the mirror and wham, hang it up in literally less than 10 minutes. I would recommend these SPECIFIC cleats for anything you want to easily hang and if you want to take it off the wall to clean, paint…super easy. Strongly recommend these specific cleats!!

Used on mounted large picture frames

So far so good! I used it to hang a king size wall-mounted headboard, which was way below the stated weight limit for the French cleat, but I got the longest size to make sure it'd balance right and it does. It was very easy to install, and came with screws (short ones for the art frame or in my case the headboard, and longer ones for the wall), and drywall anchors if you need them. The holes were spaced in a way that allowed me to hit two studs and I have lathe behind my plaster/drywall so I didn't bother with the anchors. The only tool you really need is a drill but a level and stud finder helped make this an easy one-person project.

Product is great and worked well. Cleat was bent when it arrived box was not damaged, it was clearly bent from the factory. It was easy to hammer it back straight.
