you can peel pretty much anything with it... certainly apples... it doesn't take the very top and bottoms off anything... I tried Kiwi fruit which was kind of flattish and it didn't do a great job on it, but most everything else it will work on... I have both the hand operated and the electric Rotato and like the electric one much better.. =)

Can you peel citrus? Oranges, etc.

no. this peeler won't peel citrus for 2 reasons: the skin is too thick, blade is not strong enough, 2. the space between the blade and plastic for peel to pass thru is not enough for citrus peel. also the teeth on the bottom have to hold the item, which means you lose the juice from the citrus fruit. hope this helps. this will last for life though. it's fast, efficient. no peeling of unnecessary skin, leave neat edges. you will not regret buying it. thats for sure. bought mine off the infomercial

Will it peel beets, either cooked or raw?

It would be better to use raw. It would peel it however it will probably miss patches since beets are unevenly shaped

Can it peel Carrots? If so what is the longest Carrot it can peel?

It can take a 5" carrot but it doesn't peel well due to the skin texture. Also, the device can't hold the carrot in the right position because its narrow shape.
