What size should I get for a 24 lb Toddler?

I ordered 24M for my son and it fit perfectly on him! He is also 24lbs. There was some room to grow as well but it did not look sloppy at all.

It says black/red stripe. Where is the red stripe? It doesn't show in the pictures

I actually didn't buy this one. I bought the blue jean one and loved it. However looking at the picture I don't see the red either.

Is this true to size? Or does it run small/large?

I purchased this back in 2017–so my memory might be a bit off, but as I remember it, it ran a bit large. My boy normally wore 24 months, but I had to do 18 months. My mom had to also hem the pants. They were way too long, and my son was in the 84th percentile for height.
