8/29/2023 update.After now having used these for several months I am changing my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. While they initially seemed a little bit brittle due to the material they are made out of, they are holding up fine and have proven to be plenty strong enough when using them mindfully. the longer I have used them, the better I have gotten with the results and there is no way I could ever cut an even and uniform taper on my own without these. These are well worth the money now.Original review.Just now finished using the 3-8 taper guards for the first time, and they did work for their intended purpose. They fit my Wahl clippers securely and the lengths on these seem to be accurate as far as I can tell so that is good. I'm not a big fan of the material these are made out of though, it is a little bit on the rough side and doesn't feel real strong. If these were made out of a smooth and stronger plastic type material like other clipper guards I think you would really have something with these. Still though I wouldn't be afraid to buy these in the 3-8 taper length, just go easy on them as they don't feel super strong. Kind of pricey too for what you get, but I do understand this is kind of a specialty guard size.

I’ve bought several of these and have tried to give them an honest try. They are flimsy and weak and are loose on the trimmer. I had to wedge them in place with a shim. The lines from 1-3 and 3-8 do not line up. They need to tweak their product a little. They’re on to something and could be a good product in the future, but for now, you should purchase elsewhere unfortunately.

I've used the 3 to 8 and recently purchased the 2 to 4 (which haven't used but have confidence in. The 3 to 8 is outstanding. This 1 to 3 might be too short for the general idea. It leaves a VERY slight waviness (lines) in the cut that would only be noticeable in the 1 to 3 length. I think the 2 to 4 and anything above will be solid because at that length you wouldn't see it. I love the produce. They fit most Wahl's and a couple other clippers I had. Totally worth it for the DIY cut home kit. Just not this size. Gave it 4 stars because I wanted to make sure readers could consider the rest of their line with confidence.

First time using it and had very good results. Glad I bought this. Sturdy little package...durable plastic. A bit of finesse to get on the razor but that means, it is a good fit. I would ignore the negative reviews about this product. I only used it once, but it does great blending. Looks seamless and relatively quick and easy.Perhaps the old reviews had a different plastic, Not sure. But, I am glad to report...the #3 to #5 blend is quite nice. Works good around the sides and back. For about $20 I would recommend.

So I really wanted this to work like advertised, almost did, but this is cheap coated plastic that bends easy (mine came chipped) but the what I did not like is that the teeth are too thick and it leaves lines where you glide it across. At best this just give a foundation you need to fix with a triple click razor for a nice fade.

Way overpriced for what you get. The guards are 3D printed with a fragile filament that feels like it will break with the slightest impact. May even break from popping them onto and off a clipper a handful times, as the fit is very tight.These tapered guards work ok, but they feel like a prototype part. They don't feel like a market ready retail product, especially at the current high price.One of the guards I received barely fits over the blade of my Wahl Magic Clip cordless. It only fits if the blade is fully closed, and the blade cannot be opened for blending when the guard is on.The whole set of Wahl premium guards cost only slightly more than this set of just 2 cheap feeling guards. The Wahl premium guards feel like they will last for many years, these do not. No comparison in quality.These are probably ok for occasional personal/home use if you can't find anything better available. Not suitable for frequent or professional use.

- Can’t speak about the other clips but the #8-#3 clip fades as it should does not leave lines- Recommend to be careful with the clips putting them on they are brittle but mine were relatively sturdy and good- No more paying for haircuts for me

Does not cut hair evenly you can see the visible lines of uneven hair cut. And the quality is rough even the color of both guards doesn’t match. Feels like it will break after using it a couple of times.

It made harsh lines in my hair instead of a smooth fade transition.

Great taper guides but a little shorter than end result wanted. Would be perfect if came in #4 to #6 length. I have purchased this #3 to #5 set and the #6 to #8 which are a bit too long.

does the job i expected to do! a little pricey but longterm, lots of savings on haircuts for a DIY.
