A lot of thought went into its design. The redundant paper gaskets with factory-like seals ensure a leak-proof installation. Use permatex hi-tack to keep everything in place as it is tricky to install under the intake manifold on this vehicle. Good for two weeks now. Should last the life of the engine. I reused a two-year old thermostat, and the o-rings for the factory sensors worked perfectly. Coat them with silicon grease prior to installation to prevent damage to them. The driver side one is best installed outside the vehicle, and plugged in prior to bolting it down while you can still tip the unit slightly. As others have said, this should have been the design Ford used originally.
