A great mix for plants BUT…..
I LOVE this mix, the redwoods, the slight mint smell to keep knats away, worm castings and big piece of perlite to keep the plants healthy. It’s chunky, yet absorbs enough water to keep the plants happy. I started this with several big leaf philodendrons that I had over loved/watered, and it saved the plants from rotting. My only complaint is the jump in price, I wanted to share this with all my plant friends, but the already pricey mix added another 10% this week, such a bummer!

Saved my saplings
I spontaneously bought two Sequoia saplings at Disneyland then scrambled to buy potting soil for them, which lead me to buying some cheap soil from a nursery nearby. Disaster! My home was almost immediately infested with gnats that were all through the dirt. So, I bought IvyMay Redwoods Potting Soil, dumped the old stuff, washed out the roots of the saplings, and repotted and it's like magic - the gnats are gone and the saplings are growing. Plus, it smells quite lovely! Recommend.

No more dying plants
I am growing plants at home, including tissue cultures which are pretty sensitive. I have tried many different products and I have found this one to be the best. It truly is such a great mixture, and I don’t have to worry about over watering or root rotting. It holds just the right amount of water, and everything extra goes right through the pot.

IvyMay saved my monstera!
This is my go to potting mix now for all my aroid house plants. It smells amazing and it’s really well draining and doesn’t stay wet very long. The only downside is because it’s so well draining you’ll most likely need to water weekly. I’ve noticed it has also unfortunately gone up in price. My monstera was struggling with the soil it originally came with. It developed root rot and then slime mold grew in the pot. Immediately, I knew I needed to repot it and with much better substrate to allow for aeration and drainage. I went with IvyMay and have zero regrets. This is a before and after having used IvyMay for 10 months. My plant is so much more happier and is no longer droopy. I’m hoping with it bouncing back and reforming its roots that it starts to develop fenestrations this summer.

Well draining
Would be really good for plants that are very finicky with overwatering, drains really fast, has no strong odor

Well maybe I just suck
Seen a lot of reviews about plants being reborn again and thriving. Unfortunately for me, it didn't revive my dying plants and it is slowly killing my previously thriving plants. :(

Great Soil - Brought my plants back to life!
I have tried out various soils and potting mixes over the years, and I am really happy I tried out the Ivy May potting mix because my plants seemed to love it!I used the mix for various types of houseplants and also even tried it out for my succulents at work. All of them seem to be thriving with it. The potting mix drains very well and can definitely be used in combination with other soils if desired.I also like how there are clear instructions / ingredients. I like to know exactly what I’m getting and using. Pretty sweet how they plant a tree with each buy as well.
