I made an exhaust for my sportster 1200 and thought it would’ve been too much restriction, turned out to be ok. Typically, people either want to go ALL-IN with premium parts OR they want to pursue a quality, budget build. I'm pleasantly surprised with how this exhaust muffler worked on a recent CB/CJ 360 project. I mounted this exhaust onto OEM CJ360 headers and the result is pleasing to me. As with other budget friendly, universal parts... You need to be willing to spend time mocking up and fabricating a solution. If you have a bolt-on expectation, this probably isn't the exhaust for you.
