I cheated by submerging them before I put them in. They don’t leak! These have a nice solid speaker wire connector easy to use and seals water tight. They claim it’s only designed for insulated 14 or 12g speaker cable which is fine as that’s all you should use for outdoor speakers. I noticed the speaker grill was far superior to any model I’ve seen before. So I tested them. Manufacturers claim a lot of crap when it comes to speaker specs but these, I think are right. I was impressed with the sound and this was before proper installation. I was more impressed after installation; these omnis performance is everything you could want. Review: Good idea, awful experience. Went with Bose. - Sounded awful. Honestly didn't want to pay for a Bose but I ended up returning this with the subwoofer speakers. No matter what I did I couldn't make it sound decent. Had plenty of power, 12 gauge speaker wire, but it just sounded broke from the beginning. I sent a note to the seller for assistance and while they did respond, the message basically said "signal loss" was my issue. Testing with a 6 foot 12 AWG cable with 100 watts of power should have been enough to determine viability.
