Hooks catch a few more weeds than some others, just not as smoothly designed.

I have caught bass with them, but they're not the best and that was somewhat expected. The hooks are surprisingly sharp, but the frogs themselves take on water and need to be squeezed prior to each cast. But, like i said they catch fish so for a few dollars, its not bad to have 3 frogs in your arsenal. Good luck!

Firstly, these look great, and the hooks are sharp. MY (yes, MY) experience was this. After reading the reviews I purchased these frogs. Great size for the pond I fish mostly. The cast-ability was good and my hookup ratio was 100%. However... after one hit and fight the frogs were no longer usable. On the plus side, I hooked up on the first hit I had. On the down side, the frog ripped at the hole where the hook goes into the frog body on the bottom. On my next cast, and the only 2 casts I made with the frog after that, the lure sunk after 1 - 3 twitches. I used 2 frogs overall and never landed a fish.The description says "All create exciting and savage strikes from bass and other predator fish on the surface of the water." I found that to be quite true.It also says "Soft and Durable Bodies/Weedless Presentations – MadBite frogs are made using an ultra-soft PVC material that compresses easily to expose the hooks quickly for instant hook sets." While the hook sets are pretty good, that word "durable" was not true in "MY" case. 1 bass hit on a frog and it was finished. Body ripped and the next cast the frog wouldn't float. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what. One other reviewer said he caught over 20 fish on one frog. I never even landed 1 fish on two frogs. After the second one ripped, I returned them.It could be that I got a bad lot. I also noticed that the weight popped out as well. The material around the weight also failed and after 1 fight, began to fall out. That may also have contributed to the water getting into the frogs.

The lures are great for attracting large mouth bass, especially in Lilly pads. However, due to the hook location and design, it is extremely difficult to hook a fish.

These are actually the smallest frogs I own and they look great. First ones I own with realistic legs which were interesting to see. Also surprised to see a trailer hook which you can hook onto the existing double hooks to have another hook that hangs down. Never seen that before and not sure if it's really needed. Action in the water looks good, just need to work on my form. Remains to be seen if they last the season but I'm hopeful. But for the price it's a very good deal.

Excellent value on great frog lures. They are a little bit smaller than other brands, but I prefer this size. They are well-made with sharp hooks (I haven't tried the trailer hook; the lure's main hook works well). This will be the brand I continue to buy as they work as well as expensive brands and I lose a bunch of frogs to Northern Pike each season while bass fishing.

Great frogs they’re on the smaller side which I prefer for much better hook up ratios and then come in a great variety of colors and types you also get bonus stinger hook that helps the hook up ratio even more and nice little case to hold them all you really can’t beat the value of these
