Works very well
I recommend this product. Please read my entire review for the pros and cons. I believe in bad news first....I am giving a less than stellar review only due to 2 things....1. I only ordered 1 set; was charged for 2 (which I received) and was unable to return the other set due to “hazardous materials “. Not sure what that means however, I am out $200 due to a mix-up. I’ll make you a deal if interested. Lol2. The “galvanized” steel actually has turned a bit white on the surface. This is a definitive sign of oxidation. This may only be surface oxidation, nonetheless, oxidation. The sections have only been up for a few months (no winter or excessive rain).Having said all of this; I truly recommend the product and concept. My 3 year old Beagle (that I recently adopted and was notorious for digging out) is no longer visiting the neighbors on a daily basis and I can confidently leave the doggie door available all day to her without worry. The sections can be cut to suit a variety of terrain/ hills/ fence sections with a set of bolt cutters. Depending on how hard the ground is will determine the ease of hammering in the sections. Always start on the ends and hammer evenly inward until flush.BEST “daytime babysitter” for my new addition!!!!

The only thing that has worked!
My husky has been digging under the fence and running around the neighborhood. We have tried EVERYTHING we could think of for over a year, and finally resorted to putting him on a lead so he wouldn't get out and get run over or something. We bought two of these for his "hot spots" (favorite places to dig) with the intention of buying more as needed. It has been almost a month now, and a month of heavy rain and washing at that, and Hobbes is STILL enjoying freedom off of the lead in the back yard! He is so happy, and so are we!

Solid Solution
I have a Med sized very active dog, approx 50 lbs, and this product completely shut down his attempts to escape under my fence. Used a rubber mallet to install. Tapping into ground, starting towards the middle of each piece, and working my way out evenly towards the ends worked best. Be mindful of any buried concrete that was used to install your fencing, as you may need to slightly adjust install to accommodate. Filled gaps under fence approx 4-6”, which meant each piece was in the ground about 5”.

Easy to install in sandy ground
After my Foxhound recently figured out she could dig under the fence to take herself on a walk around the neighborhood, she has been looking for weak spots in the fence to do the same thing again. We have a wooden privacy fence, but there are several areas where there is a gap that she can stick her nose under. I bought the 25 pack of large barriers and installed them at all of the weak points in our backyard. We live in coastal South Carolina, so the ground is very soft and sandy - I was able to install most of them using just my hands and feet, but for a few that hit resistance, a mallet did the trick. I’m sure that my dog could still get out if she really put her mind to it, but I think these will do a nice job of deterring her from boredom-induced escape attempts. I definitely feel a lot more at ease letting her hang out by herself in the yard.

Digging dog woes
These are working for us. We’d tried wedging blocks of wood or stones to keep dogs from digging and getting under the fence with no luck really. I wish the pieces came In a shorter length; it was sometimes hard to hammer in one end without popping up the other and we’ve chosen the large size and left a fair amount of the product above the grass as a barrier. Highly recommend putting into place before your dog creates a big hole so it is easier to sink into the ground. Also easier after a good rain or when the ground is softer ;)
