Finally a deodorant that attacks odor instead of masking it! It may not work for everyone which is reflected in the 4 start review, but it worked for me from the start with no unwanted side effects. Problem: In 2001, Shiseido scientists identified 2-Nonenal as the primary source of aging body odor. This compound is formed when fatty acids in the skin, specifically omega-7 unsaturated fatty acids, oxidize. As people age, their skin produces more of these fatty acids and their natural antioxidant protection decreases, leading to increased oxidation and the release of 2-Nonenal. Solution: Persimmon deodorant works by utilizing the powerful deodorizing properties of persimmon tannins, specifically those found in Japanese persimmons. These tannins, with their large molecular structure and numerous phenolic hydroxyl groups, chemically bind to odor-causing molecules, effectively neutralizing and eliminating them.

I’m 70 and the soap and deodorant really work! I was so embarrassed by my own old person smell and I am now on my third bar of soap and bought two sticks of deodorant so I have one to keep in my gym bag and one for home. Yes, it is pricey, but it’s worth every penny.

I found store deodorants to be irritating. This worked right away on odor with no irritation . Would love a travel size

I started noticing the horrible STENCHY odor of NONENAL ODOR, just a few months ago while with my walking partner... How embarrassing & humiliating during our walks. I'd never heard of it, and started staying up practically all night for days researching it. Mines is a horrible STENCH, that seems to emit from my pores, onto my skin, seeping into the fabric of my clothes, bed sheets & pillow cases. And it's a constant challenge just to wash or scrub it sufficiently off my skin&body, #1. And #2, it's awful that it seeps back onto my skin (especially the armpits!!!). Making it nearly impossible to keep this persistent stench away. It's humiliating if I'm around or standing near people. I'm sooo self conscious, almost paranoid. After experiencing just how STUBBORN and nearly impossible (so far) it is to wash out this AWFUL stench out of my laundry. I just read several articles explaining that SOAP&WATER can NOT wash away nonenal odor! So I'm still looking for a Landry detergent, because not even a laundry boost, soaking in white vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, not even ammonia (they all help alittle, but NOT completely) can get rid of this stench. And of course my armpits are the absolute WORST and is the culprit of this HUMILIATING stench. So, I was estatic discovering the product line of Mirai specifically formulated for the stench of nonenal odor..... * "wamp-wamp-waaamp" * I REALLY NEEDED THESE PRODUCTS TO WORK, buuut... they FAILED MISERABLY, and had little to zero effect. Mirai soap may have lasted 7-10days. The Mirai deoderant approx 3wks. And is way too expensive (over $40 in less than 30days) to try it again. 😒 * The search continues *

I have been battling bad BO for a while now. Change in diet and meds are mostly culpable. Nothing helped that was long lasting or pleasant. Let me tell you, THIS IS IT!! I found the holy grail of perfect deodorants and I am never going back or spending money on deodorants that claim to be great… trust me, I have tried them all and nothing comes close to this one. You can use it in the arms and groin area before the gym and not worry about fainting when you take a whiff of yourself after you been sweating up a storm. It does have sweat control, but it does not hold up to a strong gym session- nothing does, but you won’t smell like road kill. I’d say, even if you don’t have BO issues, you should try it. It has such a pleasant scent, the glide is transparent (does not leave stains at all on your clothing), and it lasts all day long.

Sadly, this one isn't a win for me. I usually stick with Native and was hoping to make the switch, but my underarms didn't last long before odor kicked in. It also left a residue that made my skin feel chafed. I'm in my 30s, so I can't speak to how it might work for different stages of life. But as a girly who deals with stronger smells, I'll have to pass on this one. Positive notes, the citrus note is light and smells great. I like the natural ingredients approach this brand takes versus heavy metals. It did ship fast as well.

Love this product for "Old People Smell". Not sticky at all. Use with persimmon soap and Kitsch net scrubber cloths. Eliminate 2-Nonenal smell.
