Some chalkiness, WORKS WONDERS!
1.5 scoops does the trick every time, typically within 24 hours. Occasionally, a 2nd dose is necessary the next day. This powder will turn a beverage milky-whitish, so if you add it to clear red juice, the juice will turn pink and will no longer be see-through. It will look kinda like strawberry milk. My 8 y/o daughter says the PLAIN powder has no flavor, but sometimes it doesn't dissolve perfectly, so there is a chalky grittiness to the texture. If you want to hide it from a child, you have to put it in something white with a little texture: yogurt with crunchy granola, hot chocolate with crunchy freeze dried mini marshmallows, cream-based soup with crushed crackers, mashed potatoes sprinkled with bacon bits, green bean casserole with crispy onions, cereal with milk, etc. The powder will settle to the bottom of liquid pretty quickly, so my daughter stirs her beverage with a spoon before each sip, and tries to chug it down quickly. I didn't buy the berry flavored one, as artificial flavors are hit-or-miss for picky kids. Plain is the way to go (literally).

Works perfectly for my 2 year old!
My 2 year old had one time of severe constipation and then became a withholder out of fear and stretched colon. Any doctor just pushed mirilax and I was not doing that!! I spoke to a holistic NP instead who recommended this product coupled with lots of hydration and it works amazingly!! I noticed a lot of people hating the taste but for her age I noticed it best if I just mix the berry flavor in water and use the infant medicine dispenser and give it to her that way she doesn’t mind the taste! If you think your kid would try juice and still use the medicine dispenser for this age. I’ve tried skipping days and she will get that fear again so we use daily to every other day, and since she is 2 half a scoop daily works perfectly! I noticed if I skipped days and she got the fear again I would have to use a full scoop to get it moving again so I feel daily half scoop use for her age is best. It can take months for the fear and stretched colon to go back to normal so continued use is best while they heal and overcome the fear! Of course diet change and hydration work best in addition but use this stuff!!!!!

Better than prunes!
Works great! Tastes awful. Mixes well in milk (plantbased) & honey. My 4 year old gets easy relief within 24 hours.

Helps with constipation with individuals with down syndrome 💛💙
Definitely does not taste good not sure why it says that on the unflavored version. Definitely mix it in some form of an applesauce, probiotic yogurt that kids can drink or eat or a smoothie. I also made sherbet and mixed it in for a yummy and yet beneficial treat.

Hard pass!
First problem, did NOT mix well at all and was very chalky. Second problem, it tasted absolutely awful. I thought my 3 year old was exaggerating. Nope! I forced him to gag it down for a solid 2-3 weeks and it didn’t do a dang thing. Search else where because this product isn’t it!

It works but doesn’t completely dissolve
I’m giving 5 stars because it works a lot more safe than Mira lax. My kid will go the next day. I don’t give it consistently but every time I do he goes next day. He doesn’t like the taste and it doesn’t really mix in completely. It helps if you use a frother. It gets the job done! A 3 yr update I was using this do to my son not going to the bathroom and going in himself After being with a Peds Dr. refered by o a Peds GI and now in physical therapy I am able to understand this situation and this specific product better. Mag oxide is what is in my his product . It helps him go but it’s mostly used for antacid purposes which I did not know. Magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed and mag citrate 40g or more absorbed better and used more for constipation/bowel clean out. Thank you

Flavor is Too Powerful
I want to like this product and gave it 3 stars for being natural and a safe alternative to Miralax which we flat out refuse to give to a three-year-old. Our pediatrician gave us the go-ahead to try this stuff. But the taste is WAY too overpowering for a little kid. No matter what we hid it in, our child won't drink it. Returning it and trying the unflavored. I read that one is chalky and doesn't mix well, so what we're doing is adding it to Carnation Instant breakfast and whole milk and putting it in the blender to resolve the consistency issue and hoping that works. Our child is withholding stool so I'm anxious to try this product. Really bummed this flavor isn't appealing to kids. I personally don't mind it- it's got that strong artificial sweetener taste. It's not bad necessarily, but it's too much for picky kids. Overall I read fantastic things about this stuff and hope my child will drink it.

A much needed supplement for our 2 year old!
TMI review, but if it helps one mom it's worth it! Our daughter was constipated when she was one and we gave her an enema to make her poop. This triggered something in her brain that made her not want to poop again. For the past year we've been struggling with her holding her poop (sometimes for 7 days!). The only thing that we have found to help her muscles relax enough to allow the poop to flow, no matter how much she squeezes her cheeks together, is this magnesium powder. We add it to her milk, it's unflavored so she doesn't even know. We do add in a stool softener if it's been more than 2 days so it doesn't hurt her bum when she poops.
