It's a great model- It's a little chunky and hefty and the dark color is pretty unique amongst all Gunpla. But that dark color means that it'll show imperfections and nub marks more easily, so I'm not sure if this is the best first kit for most people. It also has decals that require hand cutting as opposed to just being lifted off the sheet- It's the only HG kit I know of that has those in the box.
