Disney Fairy Movie
Happy we found more Disney fairy movies! My daughter loves Tinkerbell and the Neverbeast, so we are always on the look out for fairy stories. It’s a good story. Short though. Would like another full length movie with these characters.

Perfect
This isn't on Disney ploos so I had to buy it. I mean a Tinkerbell marathon isn't complete without it.

Funny, but needed more
My husband and I purchased this (through Amazon directly on our television) for our almost five year old daughter, and as with many of the shows we watch with our daughter, we fell in love with this short, but funny, movie. The movie is about, as the name suggests, games in Pixie Hollow. The various fairy teams must compete in various categories (frog hopping anyone?) in order for one team to emerge as victor and to claim bragging rights for the year. The only problem is that the lightening and thunder fairies (and an annoying competitor who refers to himself in the third person) have won the games for several years and the garden fairies have NEVER won.Anyone over the age of 10 will know where the story is going and how it will end, but the refreshing characters make it all worth one's while. The only reason this movie gets 4 stars is because there just wasn't enough. There should have been clips on how the fairies train (and I know I watched clips about the same on YouTube, so I can't figure out why the movie itself does not have some of those elements present within itself), how and why the lightening and thunder fairies have been winning for so long, why the garden fairies have never won etc. etc.

Very nice, but remember you’ll need a REGION 1 DVD player!
Firstly, you need to bear in mind that this is a REGION 1 DVD, from the USA. The UK is Region 2, with our DVD players set up accordingly, so if you want to watch this in the UK, you will need the right type of player. We used a multi-region DVD player, purchased (legally) from the UK Amazon site - they are easy enough to find. It’s a nice little story about the Pixie Hollow Games, with Rosetta, the garden fairy, in the spotlight this time. The Disney animation is the usual excellent quality, the same actor’s voices are used as for previous movies, and we are treated to all the familiar faces we know and love, plus some fresh songs, and few new characters.A nice feelgood stand-alone plot line, with a happy ending, so my 7 year old niece was enthralled, and immediately wanted to watch it again - and again. The running time is very short - 22 minutes - I have a feeling that it was designed to be aired on USA television, with a half hour slot, by the time the adverts are added. Luckily, we don’t get any ads during the story - just the usual ones before the beginning, but I can see where it would be easy to pause for a break, several times. It’s a shame that this one wasn’t included in the full Tinkerbell boxed set, it would have fitted in with the others perfectly. Never mind.So to summarise, it’s a great little DVD for children who like the Disney fairies, BUT you need a Region 1, or a multi-region player.
