Great tool
This rake works really well on our mini aussie. Don't know what we would do without it. Easy to use and make it quick to brush her every week

Amazing undercoat rake
Our fur baby is a Golden Shepherd and is a big shedder! This undercoat rake is amazing! It it made very well, easy to clean, the handle has a good grip and is comfortable in your hand. The rake part is a little on the sharp side so just be gentle when brushing but other than that we can't complain! When our Odin boy sees the brush in our hand he comes running over with excitement to be brushed🐾🖤

Excellent for long hair!
This is a great quality and reasonably priced product. My daughter seen this and sent to me as we have and Australian shepherd that gets pretty matted. Works like butter! I’ve tried all kinds of combs and grooming products, this is the best out there! Do your dog a favor and get one!

The mat knives could be sharper.
The mat comb is mostly well designed except that it could have had sharper blades. The handle is comfortable. My cats (the longhairs at least) aren’t fans. My medium haired cat loves it and gets jealous when I am “torturing” the other cats, the shorthair just loves any grooming he gets- which is never enough. If the blades were sharper, it might not pull the mats as much. I still had to get my big scissors out and snip the mats into smaller pieces so the comb could do it’s thing… the smaller bits come out pretty easily, but again, the blades pull more than my fur babies like. Wear thick clothes if your little stinkers like to protest. Mine aren’t fighters, buuuut, when they are finished with the attention, they want to leave, even when they are trying to be “gentle” (aka- not in full shred mode) their hypodermic claws can tattoo my ogre paws pretty good- especially the little one. The fur unloads easily when it is full.

Surprisingly effective and easy to use!
When my short-haired Tortie Manx started getting some mats, I was thinking I needed to take her to get professionally groomed, since the other brushes or combs I have for her weren't useful for them. I had a standard metal flea comb, very fine tines and spaces between, and a undercoat/happy rubs type rubber nubby brush, which was even less useful. But this was easier than I expected! It looks a little intimidating, like a hay bailer for your cat, but really, treat it like you would an electric toothbrush or your most sensitive nipple, just lightly pull the wider-spaced side through the fur with the grain, and if there's resistance at the mat, use a touch more pull pressure and let it loosen. I learned that mats are largely dead hair entangled around living, so it may take several attempts. If your cat reacts, just let it go for now and come back a bit later when their guard is lowered. Sometimes you'll get bits and clumps until the mat is gone, others just marvel at how much hair your cat has. I mean, really - jesus. But I've found for her standard, roughly nickle sized mats, 2-3 or little brushing sessions does it, and she usually realizes she feels a little less icky.Victory!

Must have for shedding dogs!
We have two labs that shed non stop! This brush was a lifesaver and helped get the under hair that normal pet brushes do not!

Very well made and helps a lot.
We rescue cats and especially with long haired pets, these work well. Have use them on a couple of the short haired when they got burs and it was easy for us and the cats. Very GOOD Buy.

Bella's hair is thick
My Bella is a Shih tzu mix her hair is very thick. I bought the Gorilla Grip Stainless Steel Pet Grooming Rake in hopes of combing out her hair that is susceptible to being tangled. The first time I used the grooming rake it caught in her coat. She didn't care for it telling me with a shrill yelp. I stopped and didn't use it again. A friend who is a dog groomer suggested using an oatmeal-based rinse after I give Bella a bath.
