They are a combination of linen and cotton, which makes them both lightweight and comfortable and well as suitable for sitting cross-legged. The rear pockets are nicely designed, not just an afterthought. The waist has elastic, as well as a cord. I haven't tried, but I do not believe these will do well as a machine wash and dry item. I use Soak, a great hand laundry product (like the old Woolite product but no need to rinse) in cold water and then lay flat to dry. Also, I ordered these through Amazon on 4/2 and the expected delivery date was 4/24-5/15. They arrived, though, on 4/10. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great fit and size does matter LOL *by W***S on Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2019* Love the feel and how these look. Super comfortable. I have a 34/36 waist size depending on the brand of pants I am purchasing in the regular stores. I wear 34 most of the time with most clothing brands. With these pants I read all the reviews and came to the conclusion that a size bigger was in order, I am 5' 8" and weigh 180 with a medium build with a 32" inseam length on most pants. I purchased the large size pants and they fit great. Also, know the waistband is way expandable so that didn't even play into the issue for me. They do run a little long in length though. What I learned about the cotton-linen blend is you can wash them and cause them to shrink if they are a tad too large and long. I just washed mine like regular clothing in the washer and then even dried them in the dryer on a regular setting and they shrank just a little and fit even better. Be careful with washing them to cause them to shrink. If you use hot water settings on the wash and regular drying mode they could shrink allot, I just used cold/warm water setting for mine in the washer and regular dryer settings for them and it worked out great for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very comfortable *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2019* I am 5’8” tall and weigh about 170.
