I never used dried gossari before so I bought it to give it a try. I have always used fresh but sometimes you can't find it fresh as much as I use to. Lot of things are packaged now and I do not like it. I bought it awhile back and I finally gave it a try. When I took it out of the package, it was tightly together so I sorted it out and broke it in halves. I soaked it in water for awhile and it didn't look like the fresh ones so I left it soaking for few days. Yet, it still looked a bit stiff and not soft enough. So, I decided to put it in some boiling water and cooked for like 10-20 minutes or so and finally it got soft like the fresh ones. I would say if fresh gosari isn't around when you need it, its good to have dry ones.

I made authentic Bibimbap for the first time and wanted to use the ingredients called for. These were an unusual vegetable and made the dish delicious.

This item is a delicacy in Korea and used in making high end Bibimbop. Amazon has it to purchase and since rheee is no Asian store near me I am glad to have it available thru them.

At least 1/3 of package was no good.

I've never used braken, I guess this was it, took a long time to rehydrate with soaking and boiling. After looking up recipes I guess it's mildly toxic, so that's cool.

Arrived in perfect condition. Cooked up perfect. No mold or weird stuff in it.
