Not worth the money
Not worth the money. Mine has turned brown where I iron. I contacted the company and they told me “it was because I left my iron on it for too long, and .....the great thing about these is, you can just turn it over”. It is now brown on both sides. It is not from leaving my iron on it for too long, it is from not having any fabric between the mat and iron. When I iron small quilt squares, the iron glides over the small square but also glides over the mat. Where it glides over the mat, it turns brown. 1/2 of the mat is brown now. It’s not worth the money.

Does not perform as advertised. Waste of money.
Extremely disappointed. This pressing mat does NOT perform as expected or advertised. I prefer to use steam in my iron and this caused the mat to draw the water from the iron in excessive amounts. It soaked the mat, my ironing board and leaked onto the floor. I tried it with a dry iron and found that there was no improvement over ironing on my regular cover and pad. I would like to return this.

I am completely satisfied with the results of a dry iron
I have used the mat about a half dozen times and so far I have had no problems with it. There was no smell and I have not had any browning as others have mentioned. Since the pad is wool, I use the wool setting on my iron and I use a dry iron to see if it pressed my blocks as advertised. I am completely satisfied with the results of a dry iron.I just wish it were a couple of inches bigger. the 18" is fine but it would be better if it were 14x18 as it would accommodate a 12.5" block much better.

Great Product
This is great! I used it to press a New York Beauty paperpeiced motif in the center of a quilt and it pressed it super flat. A friend had one at a quilt retreat last weekend and I ordered it while I was there! I think it is too expensive for what it is though.

Great time saver. Easy to have an "ironing board" within reach.
I love this pressing pad. I set it next to me on a small table, while I'm quilting. I can easily go from the sewing machine and pivot to press the seams. Great product. The only thing I don't love is that is sometimes has a funny vinegar smell. It does work fabulously, though. Great product that seems to press the top and underside simultaneously.

Fits well on a folding TV tray table
Although I wish I had a better, sturdier table for this, it is on my TV tray table and it works fine. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that once in awhile there will be a stain on the pad from my iron. Funny thing, my fabric isn't stained or damaged at all, but the pad underneath is yellowed in the shape of the iron. I thought the pad was damaged/stained forever, but I tried using a wash cloth with cold water and scrubbed the spot and Voila! It rubbed off. This has happened to me twice.

Excellent Pressing Mat
I really like the size and thickness of the wool pad. It's light and transportable. It will work great on retreats. It really does hold the heat in the pad and so you get a great press all the way through your quilting pieces. I like to use steam which causes the wool to emit a sheepy scent. It doesn't transfer to your project though. It's a slight inconvenience compared to the excellent pressing that I get. I recommend this product unless you are bothered by the scent.

Works well, but smells awful!! The smell does go away over time!
Update-I let this air out in my craft room and it no longer smells bad when ironing.I am happy because it works well overall. The product works as described and holds the heat from the iron. The one problem is the smell. It smells like sulphur when you use it. It's really awful and makes is unpleasant to use. I am hoping it will smell less as time goes on.
