The media could not be loaded. I’ve had it for a few weeks now. I down sized from a larger size and love the 14 inch. Super easy and good quality for price. If you need a simple on the go laptop, this is it.

Based on the value you would normally expect from a $500 notebook this is a 5-star deal. Typically for that price you will get 8mb and 256 SSD but this has been upgraded to 16mb and 512mb by Oydisen. Good deal.The listing says this i3 beats i7 and that is true. My 1.5yr old 14inch notebook has an i7 and I benched it against this i3. The i3 wins (by about 10%)! It is not advertised as a gaming machine and does not have a dedicated GPU but rather the more pedestrian graphics processing integrated on the main processor chip. Nevertheless the benchmark I ran reported 'it can only handle very basic 3D games' so there is some game capability. As for wireless I was getting 225mb/sec downloads on my 5g connection but that has more to do with your ISP and your router.This notebook comes with Windows 10 but the system notifies you that it is Windows 11 capable. Once Windows has downloaded all the updates to get it current it would then upgrade to Windows 11. Note that it is Windows 10S which means you can only download apps from the Microsoft store. This is a security feature mostly, I suspect, for corporations who need to guard against their employee's 'catching a virus'. Regardless, it takes only a couple clicks to activate normal Windows 10. You will need to do that if you want to use Chrome - it is not in the Microsoft store.The colors and sound seemed very comparable to my $1100 older 14 inch notebook. Bit of a toss up really - the sky blue was far more vivid but the purple didn't appear as deep as the older notebook. Fleetwood Mac 'The Chain' sounded similar.The fingerprint reader is nice. The fan ranges from barely audible when browsing the web to audible when there is some intense task such as a windows update occurring. The 14inch size is a great vacation travel size. My only peeve is the keyboard is not backlit.I do not know anything about Oydisen. But upgrading an SSD and memory is not rocket science so it is low risk when they opened the computer and installed these upgrades. Don't know if that affects the HP warranty but I have never sent a computer in for warranty so not important to me either way. If you buy the extended protection plan from Asurion you have better coverage than the warranty.

This laptop does everything I need. The most important feature I wanted was a non-glare screen. With the non-glare screen, I cannot have a touch screen. I don't really miss the touch that much. Cost-effective, light weight. Speed is good, 500 GB storage is enough for what I do since I have external drive for saving years of pictures.

Laptop arrived on time, but immediately upon opening had red flags. No manual, only crumbled setup sheet with handwritten password. Packing label states that it was shipped from HP China to Target Stores Distribution Center in TX. This became of interest because the unit did not work at all. Started only in Automatic Repair Mode with no Startup Repair or Restore Point. Unable to boot and setup OS. Laptop was ordered as Win 10, but label said Win 11. Neither booted. Returned.

Expect to lose 8-10% battery everyday even when computer has been shut down properly.Touch pad has terrible response and clicking on icons is difficult and often doesn’t register correctly.

This is the best and lightest laptop I can find at this price point after a long search. It runs smoothly for most of my office use and it has not disappoint me so far.

I use this for work travel, lightweight and fully functional

College son, not a gamer or anything, but he puts it to great use!! It’s very good looking and lightweight. Has a lighted keyboard for working in the dark!!
