We put them up behind our house to try and keep as much wind off as possible. We live in Colorado at about 9200'. They made it through the first year fine but by the second year, they started showing some rips so we covered with tarps hoping that would help them last. The snow seems to slide right off, which is great. Just the other day though, one of them completely ripped through the cover and the tarp. Only 6 months after purchase there were a few holes in the top. 1 year later, the entire roof ripped open, exposing the hay. 2 months later, the 2nd one ripped in the same exact place! The cover is cheaply made and does not hold up to the sun, and elements. When I grabbed a piece of the cover, my thumb nail went through it. The cover was so dry, it just cracked everywhere!!
