For me, an obvious concern was messing this up, and bricking my beloved nugget. After completing this "project", I can say it'd be difficult to mess up. Like just don't do it in the bath levels of ease. Some people had a complaint that things were not packaged separately, but I did not find this an issue. The only things that can be confused are the screws, but if you watch the install video and follow along, this wasn't an issue for me. This set includes two screw drivers, one 4-point, and one 3-point, as indicated by the colored handles. Some screws are silver, some are brassy. As long as you pay attention to what colored screwdriver and screws are being used in the video, they make it very clear what you should be doing. There are only one size brass and silvers screws per screw driver, so you'll always be using the right screw. Some people also said they were missing parts... mine came with extras. Also all of the screws are interchangeable with the OEM ones you'll be removing from your old one. So just use those if you keep losing your new ones.The construction is excellent. They are well molded with no excess plastic to shave off or trim. I've always been a fan of soft touch plastic for devices like this. It's just more enjoyable to hold, and even nice to brush your finger across. So you can have fun petting your little nugget, rewarding it for 20 years of loyalty and service.Overall I think this is great. My old case was showing the 2 decades of wear on it, this new one is crisp and clean. This kit comes with everything you need to swap the electronics from the old case to this new one, with the exception of the shoulder joints, which the video shows you how to easily transfer over. It even comes with new rubber spring pads for the buttons. On the note of buttons, Nintendo did you a solid here, and made it impossible to put the wrong button in the wrong place, so no worries there.It should be noted that this does not come with a spot for the Nintendo badge on the top lid, and it comes with an eXtremeRate branded label for the bottom. This wasn't an issue for me, personally. Removing the badge gives it a cleaner look, and if I was concerned about keeping the collection value of it intact, I wouldn't have swapped out the OEM case in the first place. You can get replacement OEM stickers for the bottom online, if you really wanted that. This nugget is mine, and this case has added personal value, fun, and comfort to it.

First case I received had a slight warp to the top shell, nothing major and the shell was still usable but had some very small gaps between top shell and screen bezel. I contacted customer support about the issue and they were very helpful and responded quickly. Sent me a new shell free of charge. I would have rated 4 stars for the first unit I got as warping issue is pretty minor once the case is fully assembled, you would not notice it much. Rated 5 stars for fantastic customer support to fix the issue and replacement had no warp at all. Highly recommend this shell for a unique looking SP build.

Ordered custom buttons and I really like how this shell replacement turned out. The plastic has a soft finish that feels great. Installation was pretty straightforward too!

The media could not be loaded. Not bad the quality seems pretty decent. I have not tried it yet. It should fit because it does say it’s compatible with the Game Boy advance, so we’ll see how that works out but it doesn’t seem that bad and seems to have all the tools so we’ll see how that works out all know doesn’t seem too bad.

I bought this replacement shell along with a replacement button kit obviously for asthetic purposes. It looks and feels amazing. Compared to the oem shell, this is a huge upgrade. Very satisfied with all the contents of this kit and the installation video is very easy to follow and very informative. I would recommend watching the video first before following along with it. All in all I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I was very hectic on re-shelling my gb sp. I wanted that authentic feel, I was worried the plastic would be very cheap and not durable…. BOY WAS I WRONG. When I got this shell everything from the packaging to the shell itself was flawless. The shell has a very velvet texture. It soft to touch and comfortable in hands, also it looks amazing. Great finish, if you are stuck between re-shelling like I was let me encourage you to do it! I 10000 % recommend this!

The media could not be loaded. Great difference from oem, I got a gameboy all beat up online. So I wanted to fix it up. Great replacement and upgrades and instructions come in a video to help you!! Easy and fun project to do

This amazing soft plastic is what I immediately noticed. It feels so nice in the hands, and the looks are amazing. I brought it to work to use on breaks and stuff and everyone was asking about it! With an IPS screen it is amazing.

Le produit que j'ai reçu, n'avais pas les bonne dimention au niveaux de l'emplacement de la carte mère, en voulant installer le capot de celle-ci pour refemer le tout, le bouton de volume de ma console a sauter et n'est pas réparable. A aucun moment je n'ai forcé, de plus les erreurs de dimention on endommager cette dernière au niveau d'un des conecteur pour le son, ma console ne produit donc plus aucun son. Je suis donc très déçus de mon achat, d'autant plus qu'il a mené à la destruction de ma console qui elle ne me sera pas remboursé ni remplacé !

L’impatto della cover shell è molto bello, anche al tatto, facile da montare seguendo la guida su youtube fatta benissimo, unico appunto è la mancanza dei perni che costituiscono la cerniera del Game Boy, abbastanza ostici da levare sulla vecchia shell del Game Boy, ma nulla di drammatico.
